This does all three input & output Voltages
I had been looking for sometime on here at a new phase converter with more Horse Power as the one that I have which came from Drives Direct & costs considerably more money was a 3 Horse Power Inverter, every time I turned it on it would trip out if you didn’t remember to turn the cycles right down from 50 to 28 cycles? Once down to 28 the lathe switches on and then you up the cycles back to 50 and off you go. I have a Colchester Chipmaster Lathe with a 3hp motor. So I had been looking on the web at a new Inverters with more horse power & me not being a proper wiz with the technical side of modern electrics, was looking through these listings seeing 240v input to 240v output, then another listing saying 380v input to 380v output, this was confusing me some what? All I wanted was 240v input to 380v output. I was asking these sellers who are Chinese because of how they reply with the bad English, please can you tell me if this Inverter is 240v input to 380v output? I kept getting please bare with I come back to you soon???? So they were selling something they no nothing about which got real irritating. So in the end I came across this seller the Inverter said 240v input to 380v output 4kw so good horse power and I took a chance and bought it. This came from China during this COVID-19 crisis which arrived quite quick really and these Inverters actually work in all three voltages as 240v input to 380v output, 240v input to 240v output or 380v input to 380v output which is clever somewhat. I can’t really see why you would want the same voltage input as output really, but whatever, all I can say, is this works in 240 to 380 output and works a treat goes up to 6 horse power and I just switch my Lathe on, no backing the cycles down so it doesn’t trip out like the one from Drives Direct. So for those of you out there who are like me & want a simple explanation of, does this do single to three phase, this model does. It’s good money’s worth, all you need, is someone if you don’t know how to, I didn’t know how to, which is, have the actual Lathe or whatever three phase motor you have that needs converting due to 240v supply, a change in the wiring within the motor to delta mode. I’m sure there is information here on the web. I just haven’t looked because mine was done years ago with my first phase converter. I really rate this Inverter here though, the price has gone up since I bought this, but I say that this is still good compared to them old Transwave converters that are very pricy at times. Steer well away from them, they do more damage than good so I was told by the person who reconditioned my motor for me a few years ago. This is an awesome bit of kit I recommend AAAA+
