Bistro chalk markers do look like chalk.
I love these markers. I use them on DCWV ALL CHALKED UP PAPER AND they looked awesome. I used the negative part of letters I printed to write on the paper. Worked great, especially the black paper.

work well
These are what you would expect. The colors are accurate to the picture and they do the job. The tips are a nice thickness.

I highly recommend this.
The colors are great and it handles well when I use it. The pigment is very rich and easy to initiate the ink to bleed out of the box.

Looks professional
These markers are great. I use them on my chalk board in the kitchen and write my to do list. Just a little bit of water and they come right off

Work Good
It works very well on glass surfaces, performs better working horizontally than than vertically, I wonder how long will they last.

... team championship - and these are BY FAR the best of the bunch
We've used a lot of different markers over the years for decorating our car for our annual swim team championship - and these are BY FAR the best of the bunch. They are easy to use - let you add as much or little detail as you want - and best of all, when it is time to 'undecorate' they come off quickly and easily - just a wipe with a paper towel and they come right off. No hours of scraping and scrubbing like some.

Vibrant color, runnier ink, slightly longer drying time. Suited towards writing, not illustration
Straight out the gate, I definitely prefer Chalk Ink, but these come in second (I've heard good things about Zig brand, but I haven't used them enough to tell yet). These Uchida brands have a much thinner ink than Chalk Ink and are a bit more prone to flooding, but they also have a much brighter red and blue than Chalk Ink. The red dries to be this really beautiful candy apple color. When you use them, the color is darker when it's wet, but as it dries, the ink becomes much more vibrant (with the exception of black because duh).I wish they had a wedge tip. I do illustrations in chalk ink, and I just can't manage doing a color flat with a blunted Sharpie style tip. It's much harder to get fine details without that tip. If you're just looking for something to write with, this is very suited towards that. Chalk Ink wedge tips have a nasty habit of being very dull by the time you get to the last drop of ink.

not happy
who knew i would need to be a world class fighter to get this stuff off of my (chalkboard walls) WALLS! Maybe this stuff is only for actual chalkboard....even with the "special" cleanser, i have taken off a few layer of paint....
