I’m definitely skeptical when it comes to buying non-Harley parts from my Harley Davidson motorcycle. But instead of spending $500 or more, I ended up going this route and buying this back rest with the recommended docking hardware which I will also write a review for. It works perfectly when it’s on the bike And my wife absolutely loves it. The only flaw that I would say is it’s a bit tricky trying to take it off the motorcycle so I end up having to take one side off and then you have to almost pull the sissy bar to whatever side is still locked in and try to work out that locking system on that side of the bike to take it fully off. I’m not sure if maybe the docking hardware is slightly too short or maybe the sissy bar is a little too wide , but once it’s on the bike, it is very sturdy. I will be purchasing the Harley set up in the near future but this definitely gets me from point a to point B when I’m riding two up.

The price was right of course. The paint is not the shiny Vivid Black that the rest of my Road King Special stock parts are, but should improve with a little wax I hope. I had to use a rubber mallet to get it on because the plastic inserts on the front are very tight. I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be left on, but if they are not then the sissy bar is loose and rattles. I will probably thin the plastic pieces down a little when I take it off again. I will not keep this on the bike except when touring and strapping bags to it, so it is certainly functional for my needs and saves money.

I don't ride in the passenger seat of my bike, so can't comment on comfort. But looks good and attaches and unattaches easily.

Ifvyour going to sell this item. Make sure it is put together when it arrives. Poor quality padding. Locks don't lock correctly. Item is garbage. Wouldn't recommend this item at all. Sent it back. Amazon should not sell this item at all it is a frequently returned item for a reason

Fit my '22 Roadking Special. The latches are a little tight to latch and unlatch, but I think the OEM ones are too. Also, I think the pad is a little more flexible than the OEM ones, but overall happy with the purchase, especially for the price compared to OEM

It's a little snug due to some distortion from the welding process that requires use of a spreading clamp to position it so that you can easily lock the quick release. Use blue locktite on screws for the cusion because it lossened up and would slide off when the 2up passenger would get off.All the fitment issues were workable, and it does work as a 2up backrest.

Wife loves it works as sure
