Reading some of the reviews here who say me that this antler has lasted for multiple months with their super chewer, I giggle and think, you do NOT have a super chewer.Our Pinot is not only a 10-month puppy, she is a lab/pit mix who also self-soothes by chewing. This means that she is a SUPER chewer. There is virtually nothing that she doesn't destroy within 5 minutes. Her toy graveyard is an overcrowded plot of chewed up fluff and rubber. I have searched high and low and tried just about everything to find something that holds her attention and also holds up to her jaws (and doesn't require me to "monitor" her, because I don't need to babysit my pup 24/7). If you also have a super chewer and have done your research, you know that there are roughly 5 items that are considered "indestructible" and all of them are pretty boring. Pinot loses interest in all of them fairly easily. The first antler we gave her was actually split down the middle, and she LOVED it. Problem: it was so so messy. The dried bone marrow was so accessible and just got everywhere. Not to mention, she went through it within hours. I couldn't justify spending $20+ for 3 hours of antler flakes all over my kitchen. I was really hesitant to buy another antler at the rate of $7/hour, but after reading all the reviews, I gave it a second shot. And I'm really glad that I did. The large antler we ordered was much cleaner (although did still leave residue) and lasted her 3+ weeks. Now that may not sound like a long time to most people, but for our pup, that is GOLD. Just ordered our second last week, and I think we are going to bump her to the XL next month. Thanks Chipper Critters!

I bought one of these about six-months ago for my medium-sized pit mix. I would call her a fairly aggressive chewer because she's picky about what she chews, but when she gets after it... well, she gets after it!She eats hoof chews and breaks off fairly big chunks of them. That's not healthy and after a run in with a large chunk, I no longer give her hooves to chew. Rawhide chews don't last very long either, but at least they are relatively safe if she swallows a chunk. They soften and will pass.So, I did not know if an elk horn chew would hold up to her. Neither did I know if she would like it.I received a nice chunk of elk horn, about an inch or so diameter at the base and about a half inch at the tip. There is obvious marrow inside the horn, which she finds very attractive. When offered, she took it right away and went to one of her favorite places to investigate it. Then she went to work.This is one of her favorite things now. She will sometimes play with it, throwing it in the air and chasing it. Of course, that raises a ruckus on the hard floors of my apartment. But I don't care. I chase after her and make a game of it.The horn is holding up fairly well, but I can tell that it is being worn down. So I'm going to order a replacement and set it aside for Christmas. I can recommend this product for moderate to heavy chewers without reservation. It passes the "Ki test."

My dog must have loved the flavor, because he demolished these in three, and then four days. However, he has never been through an antler in less than a few months. He is also only nine pounds so he shouldn't have been able to get through a five inch elk antler in three days. I thought the first may have been a fluke, so I took a chance on the second, and it only lasted an additional day. They looked solid, but didn't hold up. I did take the antler away to let it harden after he'd chewed it down some, but that didn't seem to help. Would not order again and would not recommend.

I don't have insanely aggressive chewers. They don't destroy a dog toy or thing in the house. You gotta have tons of different types of balls, toys, etc. to keep them from getting bored (in addition to actually interacting with them and letting them out of their crates and outside. Dogs hate being ignored or bored.Anyway, have a 4-year-old male Boxer and a 8-month-old female Boxer. Both can go thru extra large raw hide bones and bully rings in a heartbeat. Bummer for the rawhide is their palates are wide and flat making pieces of the rawhide stick creating a choking risk. Have had to stick my hand in mouth and throat several times to retrieve a piece from our big boy that he couldn't get out or swallow. Frightening!!!Looking for a better alternative, I found these antlers. Reading the reviews, I got them wet first. My boy isn't insanely interested other than to pull the power play game. Our puppy LOVES these things!!! She has now commandeered both of them, but likes the one with the curved tip of the antler over the straight piece. She has been knowing on it, tossing it around, and takes it everywhere she goes. Including the crate for naps.Best part, they are super hard, not messy, and they don't stink!!We will see how this goes. Fast shipping and delivery.

So I bought from this company because reading through the other reviews, they appeared to have great customer service. Unfortunately when our package arrived there was a hole in the mesh bag and one of the antlers from the two pack was missing. I reached out to customer service and heard back from Rachael within 15 minutes who apologized and offered to send out a new package of antlers right away! Very impressed with the customer service. Our 4 month old mountain dog/terrier mix took to the antler right away and it seems to be holding up well. The antler is at least an inch in diameter and a great length for our pup, (she's 15 pounds and we got her a 2-pack of the small antlers). Great product, great customer service, great company! Will buy again and would recommend.
