Central Boiler wants owners of their outdoor wood boilers to use this product to de-acidify the ash left over from wood burning. Does it make a difference? I can't tell. But my boiler hasn't rotted out yet, and if I ever do have to request warranty work from Central Boiler, I'll be able to truthfully say, and have receipts to demonstrate, that I have kept myself supplied with this product.

Does what it's supposed to do. Used for 14 years now.
