This is my 2nd set which I purchased as a gift.I love them. The value for money is excellent, they are always sharp and look beautiful.My own set has been very durable and lasted over 18 months so far with no tarnishing.The size is perfect too.I'm sure I'll be buying many more as gifts.

I had been threatening to buy my parents a set of state knives for ages, and it’s one of those things that I always forget. However, due to a last-minute panic, I finally managed to get on Amazon and found these. I was very happy with the price, I wasn’t really looking for top end knives, so this price bracket was about right for me. They arrived quickly and were packaged in the ubiquitous impenetrable plastic wrap.Having managed to get round this, we sat down to our first steak dinner with proper knives! As I said in the title, I’m a vegetarian, so I had sausages. I found them really easy to use with a comfortable grip and sliced through my overcooked, veggie sausages with ease. The rest of my carnivore family got through the steaks with ease. We have been using them for a while now and they have kept the sharp serrated edges and the points. The black finish has not scratched or rubbed off and the handles remain comfortable. They are also useful for general tough food, so I do use them every so often. A good serrated hedge for a well done veggie toad in the hole is always useful!

Used the knifes for cutting steak very good as well

Knifes are sharp and cut well but when cleaned in dishwasher the mat black on the handle comes off

Personally I prefer a larger steak knife but these are not quite the ticket for me, also ergonomically in the hand just don't feel that great.
