Umbra Touch Trash Can, Small 1.6-Gallon Garbage Bin with Swing Lid, Waste Basket for Bathroom or Office, Black

We've purchased several of the white versions for our home to accommodate the bathrooms, office, and laundry room. We've found them to be the perfect size for those uses and just basic enough to blend into the background. The material and size make it super easy to clean - you can easily wash them in the kitchen sink if they get too dirty (like when your young son thinks it's an equivalent to a bush outside). When using with a bag, the lid goes low enough that it does a great job of holding the bag in place. It's also just hefty enough that it doesn't slide around too much. We did purchase one different model trashcan from Amazon at one point but the lid didn't stay in place as well and consequently didn't hold the bag in place as well. We've since gone back and selected this model again.

Got this to use with cloth menstrual pads... very easy to keep hidden in my bathroom thanks to the flip-top. At the end of my cycle, I remove the top, add in hot water and a scoop of OxiClean and the container becomes a soaking tub. When I'm ready to wash, I just dump the entire contents into my washing machine and rinse the inside as the water fills up. It dries in the laundry room, and ready to use again. There are some reviews that said it tipped over easily, but I haven't had that problem. It's the right size for my intended use, but I think it would be too small for a regularly used area. Would be OK in an RV space, though, just check the measurements. Since it serves multiple purposes, I didn't mind paying a little more for the convenience but it is a little pricey for a small garbage can.

This trash can is small, but I love how it looks and functions. Liners need to be replaced every day because of its size, but I don't mind.

I bought for my new bathroom (I’m not done yet!) but it’s a beautiful addition! The plastic does not smell, it’s very steady and the lid makes it easy to drop paper without having to touch it. Very easy to assemble and easy to clean. Pets won’t get to it!

There is nothing wrong with this waste can - I like the shape and color and it is well made. It is, however, really small and this is exacerbated by the flip lid. I was attracted to the lid because I thought it would be nice not to display the bathroom garbage to ourselves and guests, but in reality it actually reduces the usable space in the can because once waste reaches a certain height (not very near the top), the flip part no longer works because it just hits the waste. I also didn't anticipate when I bought it that I would have to bend down to use instead of just throwing something in the can as I am used to doing. Bottom line: it is well made and attractive and does what it's supposed to do, but I recommend thinking about how you plan to use it and whether the size and flip lid, as I've described, are what you really want.

Is a trash can really important enough to leave a review for? A review with photos? YES. We remodeled and needed a new trash can, and we really needed one with a lid thanks to some bad days with our old trash can (anyone else's dog eat tampons?! 🤦‍♀️) I got the 'refurbished' version and it was like brand new. I cannot express how nice this trash can feels when I throw something in it. It is weighted so perfectly that it just flips over immediately and so far hasn't gotten stuck. That's pretty impressive for a bathroom trash can! I love this trash can - it looks good, works better than expected, it's sturdy,and best of all no more dog getting in the trash
