Only the rods are good
The Pro: These rods are well made and well packaged. The Con: The brackets are not sturdy at all since the holders cups are pretty far out. It bounces when you slide curtains. Time will tell if it ever permanently deform. The worst part is the drywall anchor. The screw can free spins inside. I had to pull their trash drywall anchors out. Conclusion: If you want to get these rods, you will need to buy some sturdy brackets and good drywall anchors/screws.

Defective
I really want to like this double rod but I don't appreciate receiving a defective product. As far as "you get what you pay for," No. I understand that the price is much lower than most, but I would still expect a product to be free of defect. Upon opening the box, the finials fell to the floor. Several of them were broken. The next thing I noticed, the rods appeared to be a brushed bronze color- I ordered black. The third thing I noticed, the rods were scratched and the color was chipped here and there. A disappointment.

Not Enough Brackets, Shoddy Hardware
This rod is advertised as stretching 144”-180”, but it only comes with 3 brackets, which is wholly inadequate. I have it set to about 160”, and even with no curtains on it the rods are already bowing between brackets. They are too thin and flimsy to stretch 80” unsupported. They bounce and spin with barely a touch, I can’t imagine trying to slide curtains across them. They need AT LEAST 4 brackets. I have contacted Umbria’s customer support about this deficiency, requesting more brackets be sent, and have received no response.Additionally, as others have said, the drywall anchors and screws that come with it are a joke. The screws spin freely in the anchors, and they’re too short to trigger the anchor to open in the wall and truly be secure.Overall, with the rod installed as is, I do not trust it at all to hold curtains of any weight.

Love the color and style, probably should have gone for longer rods
These are really cute and everything in the pics is accurate, but the rods don't twist with threading to secure them, so they bow in the center. Perhaps sizing up would have works (they are just slightly longer than my windows, so they are extended almost all the way). So, that's the advice I'd give to someone looking to buy them. We ended up drilling holes in the rods and putting a screw through them to (somewhat) secure them.

Terrible construction and poor engineering
When I opened the package, I noticed that the end caps were missing and had broken off. After searching the shipping box I was able to locate the missing caps. The weld that holds them together had come undone completely and would not securely fasten onto the rod(smaller diameter inner rod). I tried to screw it on and hope that it would at least remain attached through balance, however it falls off and is very dangerous should it fall onto the eye or facial area. There is also no way to secure the extension rod inside the main rod housing once the desired length is reached. Normally you can rotate an inner rod until it tightens itself to hold the desired length. This model however just slides back and forth and you have to HOPE it won't move after hanging.

Great rods, great customer service
Editing to reflect the OUTSTANDING service from Umbra! One (out of five total) Umbra curtain rods I ordered arrived with a broken finial. I sent Umbra an email through their support site and initially did not receive a response, however they did contact me after I made this review and they sent me a new finial to replace the broken one. The rods are very nice, I have both the Cappa and other style they make and like them both. Easy installation with proper tools, good instructions and hardware provided. I plan to order two more now.

Poor packaging and quality control!
Believe this would be a good product if we received a set that was damaged or broken so we could try them out. First package received looked like a used product the inside packaging was not put together to keep the product stable during shipping. Rods were extensively scratched and dented. Ordered a replacement and the finish is scratched again as well as the end cap welds were broken so there is no way to put the caps on. Looking for another product rather than try our luck for a 3rd time.

Great colour but...
I absolutely love the colour of this double rod. The colour is very elegant however the 66 inch+ rod is made of 3 pieces so when the curtains are drawn open it shows. Both rods, the main rod and the smaller back rod are made of 3 pieces. Unfortunately that detail (which I consider it to be a major one) makes it look cheap - a little Frankenstein... Probably going to return it because of that.

Sleek, Modern, Beautiful Curtain Rod Set
I am totally obsessed with Umbra Cappa curtain rods. They are so modern and elegant looking and much nicer than the clunky ones I previously had. I have a set of these in gold, and two in black and I could not love them more. They are perfect for holding both my regular and blackout curtains at once. Exactly what I wanted, and I've even convinced some friends and family to switch out theirs for these! They were easy to install, are sturdy but also not heavy. I did use my own screws, but I highly recommend these!

Very Nice!
Very good-looking rod, looks very professional in my home office. Easy to install, but unfortunately, it only came with 2 brackets, so it lacked centre support and sagged a little bit in the middle. Luckily, I noticed that it was indeed supposed to come with a 3rd bracket, so I contacted the merchant's customer service team and they shipped me another bracket free of charge. Now my rod is perfectly supported and looks beautiful. Very happy customer here!!

Was able to extend an extra few inches
I needed a curtain rod that was ideally more than 180”. I was able to extend this one to about 185”with the help of a couple dowels that I purchase from the local hardware store and it works well! The color is a bit more yellow than brass to me, but for the price, can’t complain.UPDATE: I bought a few of these for my home and it's been about 6 months of use, and they've all started leaning away from the wall- even the rods that I didn't extend. They're not strong enough to hold up the curtains even with reinforced anchors.
