Most durable boots in a tested 1 year stress test
Ex-Military and worn boots my whole life. These were surprisingly one of the best pair of boots I've ever owned. Worn them about 300 days at 12 hour days and beat them to death. I have had Redwings that didn't stack up to these. The only reason I didn't buy another pair is because they weren't on Grainger when the company ordered me new boots. If CAT sent me these for life I promise I would wear nothing else.Piece of advice for any boots you buy. Get boot inserts. Throw away inserts from $400 boots and buy something comfortable. The boot is the boot. Your sole is your soul. Not the same company.Good luck guys. For the price they will last. Still my backup for beating drives into place and miss them already.

Great boots
Tougher than my coffee and comfier than I deserve. These boots protect my toes and survive my clumsiness—basically, my new best friends on the job.

Affordable boot
I have been purchasing this boot for years for my husband. He’s a diesel mechanic so boots don’t last long. These ones last the longest. This is an affordable boot and would recommend.

Great for Digging!
I bought these because I needed some great work/outdoorsy boots for an archaeology field school at Crown Point up in the Adirondacks last spring. I kid you not, I saw them on a list of "Shoes for Archaeology" and I chose them from there. They looked the least dorky out of all the shoes on the list. I'll say, I'm glad I chose them. They suited my needs almost perfectly. They fit pretty good. I have wide feet, and I felt they fit just fine, if not on the larger side. There is a break in period. But after they break in, they become quite comfortable. They're not bad to stand in, sit on, crouch in, etc. I would recommend them for job site stuff. They're pretty easy to clean, as their mad of mostly smooth leather. I got these things caked in mud, and a quick once over with a brush, wash cloth, and some polish makes them look damn near brand new. I will also say, these shoes can take serious abuse. I put these through hell, and other than the scratches you expect to show up on leather over time, creases on the toes, and the laces getting a bit fuzzy, there was barely any damage. They held and continue to hold up great. I also had a big ol' gash I got swimming in lake Champlain after a dig, and the boot had very reasonable support. Helped the wound heal pretty good. Oh, also, I like the way they look. They look good. Now, there are some cons to these boots as well. I believe it say they're water proof. This not exactly true. I did wear these in rain. My feet did come out dry. However, you could see the leather absorbing the water and getting all dark rather than repelling it. So, they do fine in wet conditions, but I'd advise doing a coat of something hydrophobic for your shoes if you want them to last. These shoes are built tough, and are HEAVY as a result. They're not egregiously heavy, but heavier than a hiking boot, and most other work boots I've owned. I wouldn't recommend these if you have to do a ton of walking on site, but if you do, you will survive in these. I did. Lastly, these boots have virtually no ventilation. They're not hot like a dedicated snow boot, but they do make for feet reek after a day of being in them. I had to keep them outside the tent.Overall, I'd recommend them. They're worth the price, especially if you take care of them after you but them through hell.

Fell apart after nearly 8 months had to replace
These fell apart after almost 8 months so we had to buy new boots for my boyfriend and we couldn't afford to buy these again. Should've lasted longer for the price but they did the trick
