Great sound for an awesome price
My expectations were incredibly low because I had no budget for this project going into it after the holidays, but this thing is blowing me away right out of the box. If you like a lot of treble you're going to want to look a little higher than this but volume is perfect, the tone is pretty dark and rich on my acoustic for raga, jazz and blues styles I play, and it feels really solid. Excellent, simple fit and easy to install. If you got 15 bucks and an acoustic this is the pickup to grab

supprised
I was really suprised how well this p/u works. You need an amp that has volume, gain, bass, middle, treble adjustment to fine tune .

A Good Pickup at a Good Price
A quick install, this pickup does what it's supposed to do at a budget-friendly price point. It reproduces a good crisp sound. It may not have the bass range of a higher priced pickup, but it gives a terrific and consistent midrange. Mine did not come with instructions, but it's fairly intuitive to install on the sound hole. (See illustrations. There are only 5 steps--C and D are the same step.)

Microphonic not magnetic
Was very easy to install onto my 1976 Giannini Acoustic guitar and did not cause any damage to the finish. This particular pickup seems to be microphonic which under distortion would probably scream but is not suitable for clean acoustic recording. It picks up the strike of the pick or even finger against the string way too clearly to get a nice clean crisp recording. It also picks up the noise of it's attached cable clacking against the guitar and any other noises in the room. If you're looking to practice with your acoustic and want to hook it up to an amp i could see this working but in a studio recording scenario it just does not suffice. It does what it is supposed to do good enough for the price but does not fit the application I'm looking to use it for.

Fantastic!
Sounds great on my old parlor guitar. Perfect for slide and blues! If you want that raunchy old school sound, this is it.

This Guitar Pickup Is Outstanding For The Price And Sound Quality.
The fidelity of sound coming from this pickup is exceptional. Very easy to install and is well made. It fit perfectly in the opening of my new acoustic guitar. This pickup makes my new guitar look even better and the pickup quality is exceptional when connected to an amplifier. The price gives you an outstanding deal.

Truly Awful!
I ordered this to replace a 40-year old D'Armond electro-magnetic pickup that was phenomenal until it developed a bad hum. So this was going to be a cheap replacement for it. I expected the sound wouldn't be as good. What I didn't expect was that this pickup would make the G string sound three times as loud as any of the other strings -- so, utterly useless. Maybe it was just a bad one. But at best it means there's no quality control. It went back to Amazon the next day.

If you're on a budget , buy this one
I'm a 100%, pleased. With this pick up. It went on very easy. I put it on a mini yamaha red label. With a 3 and 3/8 inch sound hole. Go get yourself one of these. It's worth the money just as a backup.

This pick-up was installed on my 12 string guitar. It sounds absolutely amazing with a clean and balanced sound. The pick-up was very easy to install. I highly recommend this product, especially when you consider the low price.

This item has excellent reviews. Very modestly priced. The key is the alignment of pickups with strings. I tried with a student sized classical guitar but didn't align as string spacing was too small but where the string aligned with pickup it worked well with my amp. Should be ok with standard guitar string spacing. Not sure about 12 string. The distance of strings across the sound hole is identical. Should be ok but will take adjusting of amp. The volume from my Fender 15G amp was really loud. This pickup is certainly a good prospect at the price for most standard guitars.

A little noisey. Fits sound hole perfectly.

I'm really impressed. For the price, I wasn't expecting much, but it sounds really good. I easily fit it into the sound hole of my flamenco style classical. The sound is well balanced from high to low, not too heavy on the base or tinny in the high end. It's basically a condenser microphone, so you have to set the input on your amp to "mic." There is a potential for feedback, but it's an economical and easy solution.

I got this for a youths acoustic guitar as he's progressing nicely, but getting a little bored with lessons. As a reward I'm setting him up to be able to play around with an amp and all the effects you can get to make it more interesting and relevant to the style of music he likes. I was surprised at the quality of sound for a 20 dollar pickup. Build quality again is surprisingly good for a 20 dollar pickup. I am not disappointed and I would use this myself. Quality is equal or better to my albeit low endish but still high brand name pickups that were 3 to 4 times more expensive. I like the clip fastener of this pick up better than the simple friction fit of my other soundhole pickups.
