Pocket Oxford English Dictionary Paperback

The size of the dictionary makes it so easy to use it. I’m a woman with average size hands. Also appreciate the concision of definitions.

Oxford dictionary is the first book my dad bought me and it’s been my best knowledge companion throughout my school days. Thought I’d return the favor and bought this for my 5 year old daughter and she just loves it! She’s starting to learn the words only now but shows great interest in finding the words in the dictionary even if it’s just a three lettered sight word. Personally, I cannot imagine finishing the academic years without Oxford English Dictionary.

We use it for reference when playing a family game of Scrabble. It has an impressive range of modern vocabulary and alternate word uses.

It is a perfect addition to my book collection! Being so very handy, I use it everyday almost….

My ex-mother-in-law who has polio asked if I could purchase this for her. She raves about this dictionary. Shipping was overnight.

Big plus is excellent binding and pages sewn insignatures—rare nowadays.However this dictionary is inadequate if youread adult non-fiction on serious subjects.It is probably great for middle schoolers and high schoolers. When I see my 13 year old grandsonnext I’ll give it to him but I find it useless for myreading. Not enough words. Just need a bigger dictionary!
