Woodland Scenics Diorama Kit, Basic

I have these miniature Cemetery decorations for Halloween and I've been wanting to turn it into a diorama. I've never done anything like this before, so I was a bit nervous. This kit had everything I needed to get started. The instructions were easy to follow all of the materials worked as they should. I love the way it came out!!

Detailed diorama, doesn’t include the base. Need a different bonding agent the glue was horrible when used to build the 3-D trees and bushes. It would be nice if something was provided to stabilize the trees.

I built a diorama in a clear plastic shoebox (purchased on Amazon). The materials were easy to work with and the directions easy to follow. I am an adult, though, and I believe that children would need to be supervised. Takes patience to wait for glue to dry and get trees to both hold the glue and hold the foliage. I had plenty of materials left over except for the base material which is rather stiff, but I was able to mold it over Styrofoam that I had used to create elevations.

Should have read better, this is not a full kit, only the green mat, 6 trees, and a few other items. Not worth the high price. Ended up purchasing more supplies from retail that cost less.

Item works great for social studies Gettysburg’s battlefield. I took advice and bought my own glue and some tiny rocks. I had to help my 10 year old with the trees but other than that easy peasy. I bought a half priced, clearance, damaged box but all items inside were still packaged and intact. Happy with my purchase. My son will play with his Gettysburg’s diorama and plastic war figures even after his project is over.

Bought this kit as a gift for my novice model making son only to find there is no base included in the set. NO WHERE in the description is there any mention of the base not being included or being sold separately. All of the product images include a plastic base and are very misleading. I haven’t even started using the kit yet because we have to purchase something to use as a base, but after reading the other reviews I will likely go ahead and purchase a different adhesive in advance. I have no idea why this product has so many stars in the ratings.

Was perfect for my daughter's diorama. She's 10, & it's too complicated for most kids that age so I did the majority of it. But she was able to do enough of it to make her feel like she was part of the process. After reading other reviews, I decided to get a glue pen, & I was really glad that I did. It made some of it easier. Be prepared for a huge mess with putting the "leaves" on the trees. But they looked so good!! Makes an impressive display.
