Korg EK-50 L 61-key Arranger Keyboard

The Korg EK-50 was the only Korg keyboard with the features I could afford. I compose and make music privately. I am not an entertainer or a performer. This is my hobby. This is the only low-cost keyboard that Korg makes. I expected to be disappointed. But I was pleasantly surprised at the sound, the features, and the quality. Before buying it, I must have watched over fifty reviews on YouTube. The reviews and examples on YouTube were positive. So, I took a chance and bought it. I am glad I did. I have several other brand name keyboards and pianos, some of which cost more with less features. The Korg EK-50 is a true treasure. I highly recommend it.

I’m sorry to say that Joystick is absolutely horrible for using the keyboard as a controller to use VST sounds in a computer….especially the modulation up and down…better keybed than Arturia or the Nektar so I went for it….if it had a modulation wheel I would have kept it for adjusting volumes playing cellos and violin samples….but holding that joystick up to just get volume was a pain…the actual sounds in the unit are very cheesy….the only thing it has going for itself is the key bed…no noises or squeaky keys…

Perfect for someone who knows what they're doing. I do not. But tons and tons of sounds, great value for the money. Very high quality. Korg makes some of the best. Performs beautifully.

È una tastiera fantastica e sorprendente con degli aspetti nascosti e da conoscere bene. Al suo interno la korg ha inserito anche i suoni di altre sue tastiere come M1,Dw8000 ecc.Non aiuta molto il manuale che viene fornito in inglese. Per conoscerla davvero bene serve tanta esperienza.Molte sono le cose che ho potuto comprendere ivi compreso il caricamento di basi musicali in formato "sequenza midi" e "Wave". Pur tutttavia non ho ancora ben compreso come avviene il caricamento di nuovi stili musicali e appare ancora incerta la registrazione di musiche live. infine devo ancora studiare il collegamento midi che pare possa avvenire tramite pc e driver. Nel complesso comunque un ottimo prodotto. Devo aggiungere però che permane l'impossibilità di caricamento di style e mp3 malgrado tutte le prove effettuate. Indubbiamente presenta delle mancanze e delle debolezze a livello di software. Non è raro che la tastiera si blocchi e si deve fare il "reset""premendo"Shift"+"bank"a tastiera spenta soprattutto quando si inserisce una pen drive anche se correttamente formattata sulla tastiera stessa. Inoltre nella stessa chiavetta non è possibile ottenere contemporaneamente " sequenze midi"e "wave".Questa ultima analisi in parte negativa posso esprimerla con certezza avendo altre tastiere Yamaha(Psr 750/Tyros 2) che non presentano alcuna problematica nel caricamento in una stessa pen drive di midi file,wave,sequenze midi,style ecc.

Si nunca has tenido un teclado arreglista puede que te intimide ver tantos botones con luces, pero contrario a lo que pudiera parecer este teclado es muy fácil de aprender a configurar. Te recomiendo leer el manual impreso con el que viene así podrás sacarle el jugo, pero si no te gusta leer hay muchos videos en español justamente porque esta edición está orientada a latinoamerica (CSA). Este es un excelente instrumento si vienes de un arreglista viejito o si va a ser tu primer teclado con auto acompañamiento. Tiene una gran cantidad de ritmos (styles) qué destacan por ser más "brillantes" que otros teclados de similar precio de otras marcas, es como si los ritmos tuvieran más "sabor". Con respecto a la voces o instrumentos, incluye varios tipos de piano, cuerdas, vientos, etc y algo que me pareció curioso es que a cualquier instrumento de pueden aplicar efectos o filtros como si fuera pedales de guitarra eléctrica, así que si tienes ganas de experimentar puedes lograr cosas locas como un piano distorsionado. Con respecto a la construcción, es plástica, nada destacable aquí. Vamos con los puntos negativos: me sorprende que un Alexa Echo tenga bajos más potentes que los altavoces del korg, de todos modos es algo comprensible ya que sería molesto para tocar, tampoco tienen muchísima potencia para tocar en un bar, pero si la suficiente potencia para tocar en casa. No incluye entrada a micrófono. Si ninguno de estos puntos negativos te afectan entonces es un instrumento muy recomendable para ti.

this keyboard is truly superb having previously purchased a different make and having to return it as it was utterly rubbish i was at first very cautious about buying but this is simply brilliant no wonder it has so many good revues on Youtube
