Ok after reading the reviews on these clothes pins, as far as I'm concerned, the only thing they are good for is crafts! I live in Maine and yes I hang my laundry out on a clothes line even in the winter, these clothes pins are not good for hanging clothes out at all!

Quality was fine... definitely better then what I've seen at major stores such as Walmart or target. Obviously if the pins are left outside in the elements they fall apart which is what happened to mine.

I bought these to use at a baby shower, but didn't get to use them. However, they appear well made. I will keep.

The wooden spring clothespins are well made and are high quality. They are durable and long lasting. I have used mine outdoors all year long, during freezing weather to hold down plastic over tender outdoor plants, and during warmer months securing netting to ward off birds and squirrels from my trees. Additionally, the clothespins have been used to hold plastic onto an outdoor wire to keep a deranged person next door out of my property. The metal springs holding the two wooden parts together are strong, and have maintained their ability to grasp tightly onto tree branches and other outdoor surfaces. The pins were packaged and shipped well, arriving undamaged.
