Risk is Not Family Friendly Due to the Use of Profanity
I've only played Monopoly and Risk. Although I really like the "living" Monopoly board and have always enjoyed Risk, I'm only giving 3 stars for these reasons.Risk:1) Risk is one of the 4 games in this set. Although this has been advertised as a "family fun pack," I have to ask why the game designers thought it would be appropriately to have a voice in the game intermittently blurt, "GOD DAMN" while taking casualties. As someone who is morally conservative, I don't think it's appropriate for such language to be used particularly in a game that's supposed to be family friendly.2) The game can be very slow unless you choose the "fast" option and even then after the AI player has placed its pieces you still have to hit the fast option after each game play otherwise the game will tediously drone something to the effect of, "Blue player has succeeded. Blue period has captured Mongolia. Blue player has conquered Asia."3) Unless you choose the automatic option for resolving battles, game play is further slowed down by seeing dice rolled. This wouldn't be such a bad thing if the game didn't force players to wait while planes, helicopter flew overhead to shoot and destroy the enemy.4) I don't know what Risk game boards are like today. When I was growing up in the 60's, the game cards always had Napoleonic images of infantry, cavalry, and artillery.. I was somewhat disappointed to see that in Hasbro's version, armies during a battle sequence are represented by tanks. Given how sophisticated the living board is, I was disappointed with the quality of the battle graphics which are nothing more than green outlines similar to the game pieces that were featured in Battlezone, a video game from 1980 which featured tank vs. tank battles.Monopoly:1) This is a fun game but when I'm playing by myself against AI players, it's really tedious having to wait for the dice to roll. It was neat watching this the first time I played but after a while, waiting for the dice to roll gets incredibly boring. Although there is a fast option that allows you to move a game piece directly to the property instead of having to sit and watch the piece move, having to hit the fast option during each game play gets old really fast.2) When properties are bought, there's a neat animated sequence where construction is set to begin and a crowd gathers to cheer this purchase. As with the rolling dice, this was cute the first time I played. By the 3rd game it was boring. Although there is a fast option, I wish I didn't have to choose this option during each game play.

Simple yet Fun
My youngest has just started getting old enough to play video games. The struggle has been real to find 4 player games so we can all play as a family at once. I came across this and was hopeful.Usually with these multiple games in one packs the quality isn't that great. Not the case with this. The quality of the graphics are great and the games are so much fun to play with all of us or a bigger group of people. We go on big trivia tournaments and Monopoly face offs. It's great fun and wonderful to be able to play with everyone.

Fun for the whole family
We gave this game to our seven year old for Christmas. He is obsessed with Monopoly and the video game version of the game is great. It makes playing the game even more fun than the board game because nobody needs to be the banker. The graphics are great and a lot of thought has gone into the game. For instance when you start building houses the houses in the nice neighborhoods look much nicer than the houses in the less expensive neighborhoods. Trivial pursuit is also a lot of fun. We haven't even played scrabble or risk yet but I feel like we have definitely gotten our money's worth already. This is a great game that the whole family can enjoy!
