Such a great book- didn’t expect it to be so big and info-packed!

Useful book. Helped us to select our puppy and ensure we knew what to do from day one.

I thought the book was very well written and informative, especially for a first time owner of a cavapoo. It was much larger (A4 sized) than I expected it to be. The only thing that I was a little disappointed with, is that the pictures were all in black and white. Would have preferred colour. All in all though, an excellent read with lots of tips and facts.

Very informative . I found it to be a very large handbook for our very small dog but it is worth buying especially if a cavapoo is a new breed for you .

When we got our Cavapoo puppy during lockdown (which is exactly what we were told not to do!) this book became our bible! Make no mistake, a puppy is hard work and the Cavapoo is a very full on little dog.... We read it from cover to cover at first - I must admit my heart sank as some of the comments from Cavapoo owners are from, how shall I put it, very “dedicated” owners! Fur baby was not a term I ever wanted to go past my lips!! However, the main body of the book is very, very useful - especially to a brand new puppy owner. It is well written and informative.... the author has contacted Cavapoo owner groups for the comments so some are from the UK and some from the US..... as I said, some of the owners are very dedicated and treat their dog like a baby, but each to their own...! We don’t use it quite as much now as our pup grows and matures, but it’s there to dib into as and when needed. I particularly like the way it doesn’t sugar coat the trials and tribulations of a Cavapoo puppy and dog. Would highly recommend this book to all prospective and current Cavapoo owners..... in fact would go so far as to say it’s essential reading....

This is a brilliant book, providing information from a variety of sources, such as owners, breeders and experts. It touches on many different aspects of finding and owning a cavapoo; from finding the right breeder with health tested parents, to the origins of the breeds. It is great to dip in and out of, with information on all the puppy period as well as a section on those pups who are reaching their prime, and all those things you go through in between. A good all round book, which is easy to read and to dip in and out of. A must have on the bookshelf in any home with a Cavapoo or if you are thinking of adding one of these special little creatures to your family. Plus there are plenty of pictures of Cute Cavapoos!

I initially thought this was expensive but very specific to the breed so it's a must. Only complaint was that the photographs and images aren't in colour.

If only I had this book three years ago! It is chockfull of amazing information about amazing Cavapoos. This book feels like a love letter to both the Cavapoo and its owner. But beyond the love lie many, many facts and a richly researched trove of information. Unlike many dog handbook series, this book doesn't have that copy & paste feel that many do. You will find it to be a terrific resource for your many specific Cavapoo-related questions and/or concerns. The author dives deeply into the history of both breeds that combine to breed Cavapoos, and explains the behavior of the resulting pooch with those pedigrees' traits in mind. Expanding on her own research, the author wisely incorporates the experience of three different well-respected breeders who provide even more background information and anecdotes. Beyond the great information, you will be tickled by the photos throughout. If you weren't sure you would be getting a Cavapoo before getting this book, one skim through the pictures and you'll be making your plans. Great book - so glad to have it on our shelf now for when we have questions about our Chili!

Lots of tips

This book is an excellent and comprehensive resource. I recommend buying it even before your puppy comes home, as it is chock full of information to help you prepare to welcome this precious new addition to your family. Her emphasis on choosing a good breeder is spot on and perhaps the most important choice you will make to ensure that you bring home a healthy happy Cavapoo (thank you Petit Jean Puppies!). She definitely hits the nail on the head with her description of the Cavapoo personality and behavior - understanding these traits will set you up for success with your puppy. Our Cavapoo Huck will be two this June - this comprehensive volume has already taught us things we didn't know and will be a great resource when we get Huck a new little Cavapoo friend!
