Very impressive proper fridge
Although this has the features of a cool box, it actually works as a proper fridge.I had one of those absorption fridges when I bought my campervan, and it was useless to be hones. You have to pre-chill these on the mains and then hope the 12 volt power will keep them cold.I wanted something that would chill right down to 0 degrees centigrade from normal room temperature, and this unit does it very quickly. As a test, I put it onto my 12 volt cigarette lighter socket on the leisure battery power source, and set the temperature to 0 degrees. The compressor kicked in and the temperature inside the unit went from 22 degrees to 0 in 15 minutes.Amazing product, and very quiet too.Apparently it only drains 0.9 amp per hour when in use, so you could have it on all the time and only use 24 amps from your battery. You can also sit on it as a bench seat - very sturdy, and put drinks on it as a table too. It can be unplugged and moved around as well, so take it to the beach etc if you need to remove it from your van - it isn't that heavy, although laden with bottles it could be.The only thing I found a bit awkward was the instructions on setting the battery modes ( which control at what voltage it kicks in or not to help save your battery, and also in selecting the various modes for chilling, eg Eco mode or maximum for fast chill, as the buttons are not very obvious how to select these modes.Apart from that small niggle, a great product.

Super Fast Delivery. Holds more than I was expecting.
I ordered this from Amazon UK for delivery in France and it arrived in under 5 days which was great! I've been wanting one of these for ages for weekend camping trips as am fed up of soggy food when using a cooler and it's not always that easy to find Ice in supermarkets in rural France.I had this out in the car last weekend in the baking heat with outside temperatures of 35C and it managed to keep ice creams frozen. The capacity is much bigger than I was expecting, so I guess pre-freezing some bottles of water would really help keep the energy usage from your batery low if you're not going to be putting much in it. We're a family of 5 and I think it would be perfect for a good long weekend trip without the need to visit a shop and still have space for beer and wine. The fan is a little noisier than I was hoping and I can't notice any difference between eco mode or max although the pump supposedly spins slower in eco mode to preserve battery life. Would also be nice if you could get an insulated protective bag for this like you can for many of the other brands as that would probably help in warmer conditions when used in a car or van.Overall very pleased with this and can't wait to take it on some more extreme adventures to see how it holds up.Update 04/07/20Finally got round to some proper testing with my new 300W power bank. In Eco mode using the inverter in my power bank to power the 220V adapter it managed to run the fridge for 13.5 hours. Temperature was set to 5C with ambient room temperature of 23C. The inverter isn't the most efficient and there's further losses converting back to 12VDC. I imagine that the real power consumption was more like 220-250Wh. That would mean that for a 24 hour period it would consume 400-500Wh. Not quite the 200Wh that I was hoping for, but should still run for 2 days+ on a standard 100Ah leisure battery.Note. This was done with the fridge loaded with 24 cans of coke that were pre-chilled. Efficiency would further improve if the fridge was fully loaded.

Reliable and superb quality- reviewed after 6 week road trip
I bought this back in April, delivery was super quick. Only reviewed now as wanted to actually use it first. We used our car for a European road trip, 6 weeks and 3600 miles. The amazing thing is this fridge which we used for a freezer, never let us down. We had to bring our dog’s frozen raw food as on a novel protein diet. This freezer was fantastic to say the least, running off car battery, in temperatures up to 29*c outside and lifted in and out daily. The freezer kept on going! Really thankful for the team at JustKampers to sell a quality product. Tough to know when buying on line. Really happy with the purchase and can’t wait till our next big journey with no worries!

Superb.
I have a motor home with a good size fridge however when we go on holiday especially to France we often find we have got enough room in it ie bottles of wine etc let alone frozen food .I have been looking for a compressor fridge /freezer and actually bought one looks almost identical to the kampers one how ever this one is that much bigger inside with out the outside measurements being that much bigger and very competively priced. The service received fantastic ordered one day arrived the next you couldn't wish for better. The product is excellent and I have to say if you do your research you will find similar and very much more expensive. Looking forward to using it when allowed out with the motor home..

confused- require a reply
Edit- a response would be nice on how this works?or i’ll be seeking a refund as i can’t get it too work as described,It Arrived promptly which am happy with. (within couple of days )i’m still trying to work it out properly, as the instructions fail to mention what some of the setting/options mean/do..Instructions mention E1-E5, when in fact it goes up to E9, but not what the “E” numbers mean.Am confused with what temperature it’s actually ever set at. Put it too -20 below ambient, would suggest in a room of 20, the fridge would be at 0?because i’ll set it at say -5 and the compressor is working until it gets to like -15, and actually temperature inside don’t makes sense either way.does it mean if you set it to anything above 0? it’s gonna be warmer inside than the ambient?

Great product
The chain which prevents the lid opening too far broke the first time it was opened. Other than that its a fantastic piece kit.
