I enjoy using this telescope. It's easy to use but a little time-consuming to set up for use, definitely worth the time.

We purchased this for our 13 year old son who is a fanatic when it comes to astronomy. The owners guide is good but there's nothing like experience. Putting the unit together out of the box was easy and straight forward. It will take two (2) people to assemble (to make sure you don't drop anything). I was nervous as I've never put a telescope together but it was unfounded. The packaging was excellent with everything protected. Shipping was quicker than described. We've found that you'll go through a ton of batteries as the motor assembly requires six AA and they don't last long. I highly recommend rechargeable batteries. On a side note I've used amazon rechargeable batteries for a long time and really like them. We're now at the stage where we'll be attending local astronomy groups who can help us better understand how and when to use the different color lenses. Good product.

This scope was easy to put together and set up. I aligned the red dot to a telaphone pole in the distance and it is easy to align with what I want to see. Requires quite a few AA batteries if you don't have a power supply. Image looks good through all eyepieces. Took the photo through the eyepiece without the phone adapter.

Too amazing to describe. I had a somewhat "toy" telescope for years that I enjoyed using in the backyard but having to constantly adjust the site to the moving earth was not very easy and distracting. But this GOTO computer 8SE Iis truly amazing how it first finds the specific star/planet/asteroid or deep space galaxy/nebula AND then automatically follows it as the Earth turns makes star gazing an entirely different experience. Pricier than the $300 to$500 scopes but worth every penny.

This was what I got using the scope and my phone. It was close but I still had higher magnification available... Well done. Going out tonight again

purchased this telescope because of the reviews and ease to use. I added auto align, auto focuser. I have had an issue every time I want to use. Only way I can actually use and see anything is to remove everything and just point and manually focus. Worn out trying to focus without moving the scope and losing the target. Only been able to see the moon twice since owning it.
