8% azelaic acid - great introduction for beginners active for acne sufferers.
Everyone on tiktok is talking about the anua 10% and azelaic acid and how amazing it is. The anua is more than double the price and I have very sensitive skin and have never really used any actives in any sort of serious mannerAzelaic acid is apparently most effective at 10% with daily consistent use. After a lot of searching I found that the Q+A is around 7-8%Which is why I chose it, to see how my skin reacted.First bottle I started low and slow. A small drop onto dried skin (after cleansing and essence) spread across my face, it needs to be applied to the entire face and not just spot treatment. I did this twice a week for a week, before moving up to every other night for a week. Then eventually mornings twice a week + nights every other dayUntil I was up to every day morning and nightThis did cause purging. How do I know it was purging? Cus it was small white heads which I don't usually suffer with, but in the areas I do usually break outAfter about 6-8 weeks it did calm. I am on my second bottle now, and with daily use, twice a day, two generous pumps, I reckon it lasts a month. Two pumps does the entire face and neck.I will be switching to a stronger 10% when this bottle runs out, I just introduced vitamin c serum into my routine and didn't want to change the AA to make sure I knew if I reacted to the new introduction. My skin is definitely feeling more under control, I had the most horrendous hormonal acne which I've been suffering with for maybe 2 years. At this concentration I don't think it's enough to actually really target and benefit from AA. But it is a way to introduce your skin to actives and glad I did as it's got a great price point.I feel like AA isn't great for fading scars etc as the skinfluencers claim, or hyperpigmentation, but it DOES help. And my skin definitely feels calmer. I have been researching and it appears that to target the acne scars I have I should combine AA with niacinamideI have also just started using the AA with benzol peroxide gel and it's really helped with some closed comedones and (I think a purge) from vit c.This brand of AA is great to get your skin used to AA as well as a base to get you started with a skin care journey and get other actives into your routine.Highly recommend for the price point, gentle concentration. Sits well under makeup and doesn't pill*Tip* the first time I used this, I must have got it too close to the sensitive area at the corner of my mouth cus I had a stinging burn for a few days after. lesson learnt, apply a layer of vaseline to lips before applying. I don't actually always remember to now, but I haven't had the irratation around my lips since.Think I've been using for 3 months now. Even if I hadn't added vit c, I probably would have stuck to a second bottle of this to ensure my skin was happy before increasing to a 10%May well decide to get a third before upping if I decide to add niacinamide for scaring.

Great Serum with a Thin, Non-Tacky Texture
I switched to this from the Ordinary a while ago and haven't looked back. I originally changed brands because this is more cost effective - however I have found over time that I enjoy the formula of this version more. This serum is thinner than the Ordinary's and a less sticky and tacky (which for me is a huge bonus.) Because of the thinner texture, I have found that it is much less prone to pilling (though I am in the habit of mitigating this by applying the serum to damp skin anyway.) It absorbs well, and I have found that it plays well with the squalane oil I use for moisturising to leave my skin well hydrated.A couple of other reviews mention a smell - however I have found it to be pretty much odourless!

Great intro to azelaic acid.
I am a late 40s woman with sensitive skin. I bought this to tackle rosacea/ redness - particularly on my cheeks. This was my experience:Day 1. Do not do as I did and apply three pumps immediately after a shower. It will STING! A tingle is expected but one pump is enough and should be used on a completely dry face.Week 1. Applied nightly. Skin purged. Very "angry" redness.Week 2. Applied twice a day. Very dry lips. This is not normal for me.Week 3. Applied twice a day. Purging has lessoned. Back to pre-treatment levels of redness/blotchiness.Week 4. Applied twice a day. Tentatively beginning to see some improvement.Week 5. Beginning to get to end of bottle and as more as difficult to "pump" a specific amount, I used too much and experienced very red/inflamed skin. Took a break for a couple of days.Week 6. Redness much diminished and skin much clearer/brighter.I only experienced "piling" when I put too much product on. I liked the consistency and it was fine under makeup.I bought this product primarily to treat rosacea on my cheeks. I was not expecting it to also deal with closed comedones on my forehead. This has been a bonus.I have now "graduated" to a product with a higher concentration but I'm glad I started out with this one to get my skin used to the active ingredient.

British Made and Great Quality
In my 70's I started getting very bad breakouts on my cheeks and forehead for which i tried numerous products. I watched a YouTube dermatologist who recommended Azelaic acid and Niacinamide. I could hardly believe how quickly my skin started to clear up, literally with 48 hours I could see the difference. That was 8 yeas ago and I cannot live without these products. Azelaic does pill with some creams, but that is trial and error. I will not be without it in my skin routine. Q&A seems to be a very good brand and made in England.

Helped me to regain control over my seborrheic dermatitis flare up!
Very pleased with this product. It has helped me to regain control over my seborrheic dermatitis flare up! Noticeable difference from first use! Left my skin feeling calmer, smoother in texture, and ridded me of the flakiness. Also great to wear under makeup. This product is definitely going to be a staple in my skincare routine. Highly recommend!!

Great for my sensitive skin
It’s to early to see results in skin collagen boosting and brightness (it’s been just a week) But with someone who’s skin always gets a negative reaction to vitamin C skin care products this is excellent for my skin and budget friendly. And it does contain Ascorbic Acid which is the strongest most effective vitamin C, it’s in the middle of the ingredient list that’s why I haven’t had a reaction. So it might take longer to see results, but I don’t mind. I also have dry skin and use it as a serum but it does say use it as a moisturizer if you have oily skin. I use it under my sunscreen to give it an extra boost.
