Works a Treat!
Work great! Much easier to cut branches that are about 2" or so around. The quality of the cutter seems to be very good. Doesn't feel cheap. It's not very heavy. The handles extend so that gives you some leverage.

You won't go wrong with this tool!!
Excellent quality! Lives up to the hype. I have a variety of species of trees on my property and this comes in very handy for certain situations so that I don't have to muscle my standard anvil loppers. Makes life easier and a little safer, especially when you're on a ladder. Very well engineered; will outlast me. I have several EZ Kut products and they're all professional quality tools and worth the extra cost. Highly recommend.

Failed after first day
I used the ratcheting cutter for a couple hours - moderate use - cutting Areka palm trunks about 1 1/2 to 2" diameter (at most) worked well... oiled the cutting edge & stored them for a couple months. Tried using them after storage and it fails to "ratchet" no damage to them just quit working... expensive and sad that the failed after first use.... too late to return.

Heavy
They will do the job, but they are quite heavy. I can't imagine working with them any length of time. I thought these were hydraulic, but I don't think so. I may return them.

These really cut limbs other loppers can’t.
These will cut any limb that will fit in the jaws.Takes a little getting used to the mechanism (shorter strokes and you only move the red handle)I’ll be honest, the traditional lopper is easier on small limbs. But for larger branches, these loppers excel above the rest.Adjustable handles is a good feature.Grips are good.Seems built well. Not any heavier than other brands.

Very impressive tree trimmer.
We used this ratcheting trimmer to clear small trees along a 2000 foot property line. The extending handles and ratcheting blade was easy to use and cut through saplings, bushes, vines and branches up to 3 1/2" with no problem. It would cut larger stocks, but was more difficult. Very impressive and strong design. We orded three more for our family members.

Absolutely an Amazing Trimmer, but questionable 'Guarantee' service
I have been using the G2 and in terms of overall function it puts every other one I have ever owned to shame. I had a Corona and after the G2 arrived I had used it for a while I finally was able to throw the Corona in the trash. And don't get me started on Fiskars.**BUT..** the EZ Kut Guarantee is a different matter. I had the ratchet spring break after six months of on and off use on my ten acres. I contacted them, and found out that the guarantee changes after 30 days. After that, the user pays a shipping/handling fee which starts at $14.95. So after 6 months of use I would have had to pay $15 for a $2 spring (their price). I found that out when I used the 'guarantee' link for the spring that customer service sent me. It got worse..I added two more springs (for a total of $6) to have additional spares, and I also ordered a spare cutting blade ($29.90). I wanted the spare springs as well as the spare blade because I get a lot of use out of the G2. My $35.90 order came to around $67 (with tax) because I would have had to pay for TWO shipping and handling fees- $15 for the warranty part, and $15 for my other parts.Sure, I could have contacted them and gotten a 'package deal' on the shipping, but to save $2 on the one damaged spring under their guarantee it would not have been worth my time to get them to adjust the shipping total. To make it worse, for that $15 they used USPS. The very small volume of parts I ordered would fit in a small, flat rate box, which costs $10.50 to ship, and they can get the box for free. And just when you thought that was the worst of it.* They stated that instructions would be sent with the part. They were not.* I looked for instructions on their website- none to be found.* I found their "ratchet" mechanism replacement video on YouTube and it was just awful. No commentary, just mind-numbing elevator music. The focus was bad in a few parts, the lighting terrible, and not even any freeze frames to see what was going on or what part was actually being removed. Not even a mention of what tools were needed.Be aware that I have written owner's manuals, and repair repair instructions for a living and created repair videos to go along with those. I am also a retired teacher and graphic artist. I know what a good lesson looks like.Don't get me wrong- this is the best clipper I have ever seen or used, but at this rate it is going to be more like I am renting it instead of owning it, and I wish I had shopped for alternatives.UPDATE (2/10/25)- I had another spring break, and today the last ½" of the bolt-on red portion of the jaw broke off. I admit, mine gets extreme use- not a lot of it, but rough treatment. But the replaceable jaw is not shown as available on the replacement parts page.Does the G2 work? Yes.. until it doesn't.
