Great Saw - does everything it is suppose to
I replaced a sliding table saw with the panel pro and went back to a cabinet saw for sizing dimensional lumber.Bolted it to the floor. Bought 2 sets of extension brackets, rulers, and a Freud saw blade. Setup a midfence we can take on and off. Squared and calibrated the saw to the frame and rulers and away we go. The panel pro has been in our 2 man shop about 2 years and for the $$ it just doesn't get any better. It's square, accurate and a back saver for sure. I see some complaints in the reviews but @ less then a $1000 I'm not sure what others reviewers were expecting? It's not $10000 Sebring saw but then again it didn't cost $10000. I find the accuracy, quality of the cut and ease of use comparable to much more expensive vertical panel saws just in a smaller footprint. Been my experience that the manufacture is never responsible for operator error. I mean the truth is if it were really that bad why not send back, it came with a warranty....right.

can't beat it for panel sawing.
this comes with the bottom extensions which are a must for ripping 8' panels. It has performed well I used teflon tape on the bottom rail for improved low friction sliding. Cannot beat this of the $ and the price is great it includes the lower supports ( a $100. option with Rockler or direct from Panel pro, and the $200.00 shipping also included. It was 4 day delivery right to my garage. Very satisfied with he saw and ACME tool.

this one is nothing like the other
i owned a panel saw years ago and it was a safety speed. it was a five star product. this one is nothing like the other. doesn't make any since to me why they would make something like this. in all honesty i can cut up a sheet of plywood better and faster with a circular saw and a straight edge.

Very Poor Quality
This product required several hours of finagling to get it to work right. The add on supports were a major pain to put on, the kerfing blade did not align and the whole saw motor catastrophically came loose destroying the blade stop and gouging the saw housing. Terrible product, don't waste your time or money on this saw.

Pretty good for the money
When I first got my safety speed Pro2k 7 years ago I must admit I was a little disappointed. It looked cheap compared to the other larger saws with their large tube frames. It also didn't cut straight. It was about 1/4" out of square. Well it's just steel parts with a saw motor so I looked it over and realized that it was a simple task to loosen a couple of bolts and adjust it so it would cut square. Now it works great. It needs extension wings to be easy to use alone. I made some out of 2x6 lumber and plywood but there are some available from the manufacturer. While its not the best panel saw on the market, it definitely does a good job and is well worth the price. It is one of the smallest verticle panel saws available right now. That being said , it will do anything the larger ones will do and will save you money for other tools.

My New Favorite Tool
I actually bought mine used, but it looks like new. It is a real blessing in a one man shop. It is actually small enough to easily move around (it has wheels), can be folded flat against the wall when not in use, and makes great cuts. It is also portable enought for site work if needed. Mine is very accurate, and can of course be squared any time if that is ever a problem. I do suggest adding a strip of the low friction HDPE tape to the bottom rail the wood runs on if you are going to be making horizontal cuts, and the optional extension kit is also nice for horizontal cuts on 8 foot sheets. It is heavy duty gauge metal, so I feel the durability will be good. It is a 5 star tool in my shop!

Junk
Bought this 4 years ago, has never cut straight. I recd advise from the company, still not cutting straight. Thought maybe I was not setting up correctly. So I ended up selling it, but after a week the guy brought it back saying he couldnt get it to cut staight. So now I will try again with the company which I am tired of doing. I would not recommend this saw at all. You get what you pay for!
