FLEXVOLT 60V MAX* Angle Grinder with Kickback Brake, 4-1/2-Inch to 6-Inch, Tool Only (DCG418B)

I just picked up the *DEWALT FLEXVOLT 60V MAX Angle Grinder (DCG418B), and I’m honestly blown away by how awesome it is. If you need a grinder that gets the job done, this is it. This thing has some serious power. The 60V battery delivers a ton of punch, and it chews through metal and concrete like it’s nothing. I’ve used it for a few heavy-duty jobs, and it hasn’t skipped a beat. The handle is comfy, and it’s not super heavy, even though it packs a lot of power. I’ve used it for long stretches without getting too tired or uncomfortable, which is always a win.

Great tool! I had a demolition project of removing a bunch of old 1.5" black steel boiler piping in a crawlspace that I was not looking forward to. I was originally going to use a reciprocating saw but after rattling my teeth out on a couple of cuts, I needed to try something else. This grinder worked perfectly for the purpose and was alot easier on my body than using the reciprocating saw. I ended up discharging nearly two 6ah flexvolt battery completely making about 30 cuts. Make sure you have a spare battery charged if you are doing a big job, I was glad I did. However, given the depth of each cut, the battery life really isn't that bad. Especially considering the light weight of the tool and not having to drag an extension cord around with you. It was absolutely perfect for the cramped crawlspace work. Honestly, pretty good ergonomics on the tool, the weight feels balanced. Its super easy to spin the guard around for left vs right hand use. I tried to be careful with my cuts and avoid pinching the cutoff wheel, and mostly succeeded. The built in anti-kickback brake worked perfectly for the couple of times that the cut pipes ended up pinching the wheel. I was very impressed that I didn't end up breaking any cutoff wheels during the job. I don't think you would go wrong buying this tool.

The 60v Angle Grinder by DeWALT performs like a corded one. It can be difficult to find an angle grinder that is both portable and powerful. Working on a rural island makes it difficult to find convenient power sources at the job site so corded tools are commonly not an option. This tool has made life easier by avoiding long extension cords or hauling products to a power source. The battery life lasts long enough for small to medium sized jobs and certainly won’t be an issue with multiple batteries. I have cut through metal like butter with this tool and takes no time at all. Also great for sharpening lawnmower blades. Taking off the grinder blades is easy and similar to prior year DeWALT grinders. There is also a safety in the trigger so you don’t cut the s**t out of yourself while the battery is still in it. Overall, another great product by DeWALT and would recommend to handy friends.

En lo personal es un producto muy bueno, tamaño, peso, proporciones y sin duda que cuenta con dos guardas, una de 4 1/2” y 6”, mago auxiliar, disco de regalo y la llave hexagonal, así como un mecanismo de fácil posición de guarda y un encastre para el disco que tiene un sistema donde se puede apretar con la mano, que se me hace muy útil y prácticos. El contenido de piezas lo menciono porque compré el producto 2 veces y uno llegó incompleto ya hasta la segunda ocasión llegó completo. Es importante tomar en cuenta que solamente se puede usar con baterías Flexvolt, en mi caso, erróneamente pensé que se podría con las nuevas Powerstack pero no, tuve que comprar una Flexvolt. Lo recomiendo ampliamente y más al segundo vendedor que fue BSDPRO, que fue quien mandó mi producto en perfecto estado, en mi caso el vendedor JBTOOLS no me lo mandó bien, puede ser tema de aduanas ya que es un producto de Estados Unidos, pudo haber sido manipulado y tal vez no fue culpa del vendedor, sin embargo pongo de ejemplo los nombre para que tomen sus consideraciones.

You can never go wrong with Dewalt. They absolutely and hands down offer the best products and this product is another great product. This Dewalt Grinder is another Dewalt product I have added to my Dewalt lineup of many products and I will continue to add more as I have yet to be disappointed.

An amazing deal came up on Amazon for this grinder, I'd been drooling over it for a while, and couldn't pass it up any longer. I'm glad I didn't! This thing is an absolute beast! Previously I had been using the dewalt 20v brushed grinder, and before that a dewalt chorded grinder. The new Flexvolt grinder blows both of those out of the water! This thing moves metal like you wouldn't believe! Easily works twice as fast as my 20v grinder, so my efficiency has really improved! I read reviews with people complaining about the ergonomics of this grinder. Personally I found it quite comfortable to hold. It fits my hand well, and the trigger lock is easy to use. It is a bit heavier, but when you consider the much larger motor it should be! That said, I haven't found this to be an issue at all. In fact, it helps grind the metal down quicker. Battery life seems much better than my 20v grinder, but this will still eat batteries when you use it for a long time. Overall I couldn't be happier with my new grinder! I've raved about it to all my friends. Buy it, you won't regret it!
