Reputation? -Been lifting weights and an active person for seven years. -Studying to become a personal trainer -Searched for benches for about a month straight I live in a small apartment but I have enough room to bench press and get my workouts done. I wanted a solid bench that had a great weight rating, folded up, and was not low quality. This is exactly what I got with the Powerline 125x. I first got it in a huge box and opened it up. Nothing damaged and came with a warranty form. Everything was pre assembled so again, no worries. I tried it out in all positions and loved the feel of it. Good padding, solid construction. The fact that it has more than three positions is a blessing because you can really nail your form. The flat position as mentioned by other reviews is juuuust slightly low on the backside but honestly I never notice it when I'm bench pressing. It's only if you really look at it do you see that it's slightly off 0 degrees. The decline is a little hard to get used to because the pegs that hold your feet are low and not high. It's best to wear shoes because they will fit between the bottom and lock around the pegs better. I usually work out bare foot since it's in my bedroom and found it hard to hold on so I just put on shoes and it was fine. The decline allows me to do ab work and more. Another thing I must mention is that if you're not focused the position bar CAN move off of one side of the notches. This is minimal and in my opinion not and issue because if you are focused and putting in position then it will go into place without a problem. It probably wouldn't break or slip if you missed one notch but it's not the safest thing to do so just look out for it. Like I started this review with, for the money this is the best bench out there. Retail it's $250. For those wondering I called Powerline and they told me that it has a weight rating of 500LBs. Most benches around this price are only 300Lbs. This is including the person on the bench. So a 150 pound person plus a 150 pound barbell bench that's already 300 pounds. I would recommend this to any new or skilled lifter looking for a cost effective bench with a higher than average weight rating.

I was expecting this bench to be OK and of sufficient build quality but I was expecting to make a compromise in functionality and quality for maximum space efficiency and mobility. Turns out I got the latter as needed but this bench is actually super solid and stable, and while I do wish the back pad had a little more width (it’s tapered to cater to dumbbell lifts which is a plus for that purpose) it’s comfortable and ergonomic. I’m 6’ 190ish and broad shouldered and I feel well supported. The bench sits lower than most adjustable benches and this allows stable footing and leg drive when pressing. The gap is barely noticeable when laying flat. Padding is nice and firm with a nice feeling texture and decent grip. Super easy to fold up and unfold and wheel around. I would never expect a folding bench to be this robust however and was always skeptical of this concept. I love that is has a legit low incline setting and 7 altogether- not common at this price point. The seat pad is fixed but so far not finding this bothersome and I might partially be able attribute this to the footing aspect I described above. It’s an attractive looking bench and happens to match my Powerline rack I purchased at the same time. Both were on sale recently and I feel like I got an incredible value on this setup. The fact it was ready to go out the box was of course an icing on the cake as well. Body-Solid packages their equipment very well in my experience, it arrived as one would hope it to, had to reapply the little padded decal however. Can’t go wrong with this bench if you need a good mix of quality and sturdiness and space saving features for a home gym

Excellent value for the money. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bench, especially given its price point. I am living in an apartment temporarily for a year, and I got this bench as a temporary solution due to space constraints. I thought it would be the kind of thing that I would use for a year and then give it away when I move back into my home. I have decided that I will keep it when I move. It is really a solid and highly functional bench. I weigh 230 and I use dumbbells up to 90 pounds each on this bench (over 400 total pounds on the bench). It feels very solid despite the heavy weight. It folds up nicely, and the wheels are a bonus. There were some packaging issues, as some others have reported. Mine arrived with one leg protruding out of the side of the box, completely exposed. Thankfully, there was no damage. Also, DO NOT PAY FOR THE ASSEMBLY OPTION! The bench comes fully assembled. You just take it out of the box, remove the protective plastic, and it's ready to use.

Le banc arrive complètement monté, prêt à l'utilisation. Le seul petit bémol concerne le plastique de protection des housses. Il est compliqué à retirer car pris sous les fixations. Il faut le découper proprement sans endommager le revêtement. Aussi, sur le mien, une étiquette présente sous le rembourrage avait toute sa colle poisseuse qui dépassait et il faut la nettoyer sinon on en met partout. Sur le banc en lui-même il est très solide, il ne bouge pas d'un mm lorsque vous êtes dessus. On sent la différence par rapport aux bancs des magasins de sport qui bougent rien qu'en les regardant. Celui-ci est plus cher, mais c'est un banc que l'on peut garder à vie. L'ouverture est très pratique, le déplacement grâce aux roulettes également et le stockage vertical aussi.

Purchased this during the start of covid and have used it for over a year now. The packaging and build quality is 10/10 for the price. The comfort is a tad stiff for a bench, but it is still good and will last a long time. It is not uncomfortable either though. I would rate the comfort a 8/10 compared to some plush gym benches I have used in the past, but it is still good for home. The incline adjustments are very smooth and lock into place well. I am very satisfied with it still a year later.
