Globe Ichthammol Ointment 20% (Drawing Salve) 1 OZ - Soothing Skin Relief, Treatment of Eczema, Acne, Boils, Splinters, Bee Stings - Maximum Strength

This stuff worked wonders for an inflamed boil I had on my rear. After putting a heft dab on a piece of gauze and setting it on the boil with the help of a translucent bandage, the inflammation went down in the matter of 2 to 3 nights. It definitely smells and will stain your skin and clothes but it really is a relief to use.

Great product, had a cyst on my back and doctor gave me antibiotics which helped with the inflammation but not the pain and it wouldn't pop. Was told not to pop it manually so I ordered this; and after a day or two it finally popped! Nasty pus came out and it's thankful that this product was so good at getting the cyst to finally open.

This is my go-to healing salve (Ichthammol Ointment). I use it whenever I want to be sure to knock down any possible infection in a wound (cut, puncture, scrape, etc.). Ichthammol is what is used on livestock for the same purpose and that's considering the barnyard with it's manure than can tend to be a source of some very nasty bacteria. The tube is strong plastic and not about to leak. Do know that this is basically a black tar so can be messy if not well dressed by a bandage.

I was in hopes of this being like the old-school "black draw salve" that my great grandmother used on me when I was a kid. It isn't. That's mostly on me. But -- the claims are that it will draw out ingrown hairs, boils, minor liquid-y cysts. I have such a cyst / ingrown hair that has been weepy for MONTHS. And I can NOT get it to go away. Not even antibiotics help. So, does this stuff live up to its claims? Hard to say definitively. Like, maybe what I have is outside the parameters? I honestly don't know. I had a dermatologist give me a RX for antibiotics and anti-inflamatories. They made it shrink for a while, but then stopped. I had hoped this would do the trick, and no. So, I honestly can't tell if this stuff lives up to its claims or not.

Working in SE Alaska there are few bugs but on called the white sox (a biting fly) is particularly bad. This salve helps reducing the itch and swelling that can linger for a couple of weeks. Use frequently for best results.

HOly cow, this stuff is amazing. Never had a boil before but have one now and my god, this works quick. ITs sticky, thick, and smells a tad, but overall not terrible. Might stain clothes, but i used a band aid to protect just in case.

Doesn't seem like the stuff I had when I was younger. Smells different.

I have a huge cyst froman ingrown hair. I got this today and used it a couple of times. It came to a head and a slight squeeze and so much stuff is draining now. It really works!!
