Polish for Beginners: A Comprehensive Guide for Learning the Polish Language Fast

Great guide to help learn the language

This book will be useful not only for beginners but also for more advanced learners ( for revision) as it is well structured. It starts with Polish alphabet and explains the pronunciation rules which can be tricky. There is also a list of basic Polish verbs with example sentences, which can be printed out and used for practice when on the bus or train. I found lots of useful vocabulary, phrases and dialogues which can be used in everyday situation. Unfortunately no pictures throughout the book.

So, I have the advantage of having a Polish partner who is sitting with me every night and helping me with the pronunciations of each word. If you do not have this advantage, this book is quite hard to get each word to sound how it should. It's very well laid out, but doesn't exactly help you to understand how each word should sound. I would reccomend using this along side an app to help with pronunciation! Or even some free YouTube videos. Other than this, it is a great first step into learning the language.

Probably a good text book but it was not what I needed.

Easy and quick purchase. No problem my husband give up on it but book is really good.

Everything is broken down into easy to learn segments an it is in no way over complicated. What I liked most is that, being broken down into parts reviewing phrases is so much easier Also, it starts with the alphabet which is also explained...something most language books overlook!

This book is very very poorly done, structuring and exercises are lacking and bad. Theres not enough that you practice with in this book, but what makes it absolutely terrible is that it isn't even correct. If you try to read the Diphthongs you'll find that #1 its very difficult to understand and #2 what the book tells you does not correlate to what you'll find online by genuine Polish speakers. Waste of money and resources.

This book is an easy read, and is well organized into four chapters. You will begin your journey with the basics of the language, after which, you will receive an introduction to Polish grammar, conversational phrases, and finally, a quite extensive vocabulary list. The book contains exercises along the way, which you can study and complete at your own pace. If you are truly a beginner interested in learning the Polish language, I can easily recommend this book as a good place to start your journey.
