YOLOLIV YoloBox Portable Live Stream Studio

Easiest live stream encoder on the market. I can set up a stream and go live in less than 1 minute. I own 6 of these units and keep needing more. I can stream to my website, Facebook or other RTMP easily. If you think this is hard to use, then you should not be in the streaming business.

Overall this device is not bad, it has some annoying quarks tho. Through my experience with yolobox I doubt anyone there is interested in improving on them since they don't respond to emails. My package was missing the dongle/modem I contacted the seller "Kellards" They said they would contact Yolobox and have them drop ship it. After two weeks my 30 day return window has closed, I contacted Kellards again to see about the drop shipment and they said I would have to contact yolobox myself. So I email yolobox and to no surprise no one ever emailed me back. Also mobile service is to unreliable to stream HD video unless you like dropping frames and the audio cutting out constantly.

Like the product but needs a better user's guide.

I really had high hopes for this the idea of such a compact device to be a monitor, switcher, and livestream device sounds amazing.A couple of issues:- I wish there were 3 HDMI ports this would be ideal for a multi cam wedding.- Actually connecting to the internet and going live takes FOREVER... even with a connected Ethernet just took way too long and was at times unpredictable. Sometimes it would take 1:30min and sometimes even at 20min the stream still wouldn’t go online.- Because this is such a new product, SIM card data would’ve been ideal, but my phone company AT&T we’re having such a hard time with installing it. Plus the customer service is overseas so it is hard to contact them. Facebook has a profile for them and that’s who I had to message. FYI if you’re looking to put a SIM card, the FB customer service person said the SIM card needed has to be able to text and make calls, not just have data.... which is weird.All in all, again the idea was nice, but to much of a hassle to deal with esp. on a risky day like a wedding.

I have been using to stream softball and swim meets. No doubt creates a better live stream than simply using gopro software.Pros:More polished live streamPicture in picture helps show scoreboardOnce Stream is up, seems to work fairly stablyCons:Connecting to hot spot can be iffy - especially with Iphone, works better with pickup up Android. Ethernet connection seems to work OK, but can be a little glitchy as well.Connectivity to streaming channels on Youtube and Facebook is really unpredictable - start youre live stream 15 - 30 minutes before the event as logging in time is a total crap-shoot. Sometimes you cannot log into streaming platforms at all. This seems to be the case with Youtube more than FacebookCamera - if a Cam gets disconnected for whatever reason, it will being the device to it's knees and likley require more than one restartHDMI ports - seem like they are alittle shakey, I have used this device about a dozen times and have needed to replace HDMI cables a few times now. The ports get finicky about what HDMI cable they will communicate with???USB port - doesn't workAudio in port - doesn't workBattery life - is highly unpredictable have streamed one softball game ( 120 min total time ) just fine. Other times battery seems to be almost gone in 40 min?? Some USB-C cables will not allow the unit to charge.So far I like the device overall, it has been a positive experience for the most part overall.That said, this is the 1st device I have ever bought the replacement insurance on and fully expect to need to use it in the fairly near future and the device is about 3 months in use now.If you are a casual live streamer with average knowledge of electronics and streaming devices, I would say this is a pass. If you are really into live streaming, have patience and budget that can absorb some extra expenses like cables, power supplies etc. then this is OK.

The Yolobox is a great tool for live streaming remote events like funerals. Using a simple setup of a Sony camcorder, Nighthawk M1 hotspot and external battery pack, I have successfully streamed over 100 funerals.

Very disappointed because the YOLO does not work with Canon 80D. There was no info saying it did not work with Canon and when I go live there is no audio and it shows the camera screen, It is simple to use but useless if your a Canon user.
