On the day I adopted my second dog, she jumped into the front seat and put the car in reverse at a red light. We tried a couple other solutions, including attaching her harness to the belt part of the seat belt. They all ended in her becoming extremely tangled. I'm not particularly handy, but I was able to adjust and install this tether myself in about two minutes and has been a lifesaver (possibly literally). It has solved three problems: 1) It was easy to set it to the perfect length so she has some freedom in the backseat and can stick her head into the front to visit and reduce her anxiety by sniffing for a few seconds, but the bungee pulls her back when she tries to go much further so she's not just in my face while I'm driving. (And no more stoplight doggy gear changes!) 2) I had to brake HARD on the freeway last week and it did its job well in keeping her safe. I was so glad she was belted in. 3) She's a jump-out-as-soon-as-the-door-opens type of dog, so this tether gives me time to grab her leash and get my bearings before releasing her. Some bonuses: Molly is about 50 pounds and can pull hard, so this tether must be durable, because it still looks and works good as new after several months of use. Also, although my other dog has much better car behavior, the freeway incident made me realize I should be buckling in both dogs for safety. I love that I can just leave this tether installed and clip it to either of their harnesses with ease. One tiny difficulty is that sometimes the clip at the end of the tether gets a little turned and it has taken me up to a full sixty seconds to get it turned around to unclip it from the harness. But usually I can do it in about fifteen seconds.

This product works great. I have a Mustang convertible and I strap this to my GSP’s harness to ensure he is safe with the top down. It gives him enough space to sit up or lay down. He is indifferent to it and doesn’t seem to mind it. I bought the bungee and recommend it

Seems very sturdy. A bit difficult to get into seatbelt, but once locked in, it stays there.

Product is and works as described online. Simple to use. One end of product clips to dogs collar, jacket, etc and the other end easily clips into a standard car seat belt to restrain dogs movement. The bungee allows reasonable movement while restraing at the same time. We successfully use this to restrain our 85 lb energetic puppy in the back seat.

I like this seatbelt, but it keeps coming undone. I used it over 2 months with no issues, but the last 4 car trips the end that clicks into the seatbelt buckle has come out. The first time it happened, I thought maybe my dog had stepped on the buckle just right and undone it. The 3 trips since I've double checked that it's secure before leaving and my dog hasn't been stepping on the seatbelt connection (it's tucked under my seat protector anyway), so I don't know how/why it keeps coming undone. My 42 pound dog really wants to lean out the windows and try to get in the front seat, so I need a seatbelt that is reliable. I ordered one that goes around the headrest and has a lockable buckle, so hopefully that works better.

I feel so much safer, my dog loves to hang out the window, and she knows how to roll it down. So this gives one less thing to worry about when she rides in the car with me..

We are very impressed with the quality of this dog seat belt tether. The bungee gives a bit of freedom but still keeps dog in place. The clip and carabiner are high quality metal. Just ordered 2 more to use in other vehicles!

This is just what I was looking for. Fully adjustable for my German Shepard and with just a quick click, she is secured. I do not have to worry about her jumping out of the car when the door is opened until I am ready to get her out. The piece of mind is well worth it. Great value for the product. Very well made and sturdy.

Not as advertised. Very very hard to pull the bungee part to extend mobility. I specifically ordered to get the bungee effect for more mobility for my dog while still attached to seat belt. I’ve had others that pull easier. Would not be at all comfortable for the dog. Disappointed. Then they want me to pay for returning.
