LOVE IT!
I love this shredder! It's bigger than my other shredder and does more papers at one time, so I'm able to shred faster! And the shredded pieces are nice and small. Thank you to H&B sales. It was described as "used, but like new" and it was an honest assessment. It didn't seem used to me at all.

Requested Gift
I requested this for my birthday since I borrowed my friend's and loved it. I don't do much shredding but when I do, I do a lot. This is much more quiet than my previous one.

Make sure to read if it's new or used
I didnt realize in when purchasing that it was a used item. So that was disappointing when it came in. But I must say overall the shredder works great!

Worth going with a higher quality shredder
To be fair, it worked well for a few hours of total use over a couple of months. Like all cheap shredders, it will eventually jam... The motor runs but the gears won't turn. That's ok, because I can go in and clear it...It's awkward and inconvenient to open up and work on this shredder. After spending a long time meticulously clearing out all of the paper, the gears still wouldn't turn. I kept trouble shooting and finally realized that the tiny metal driver connecting the motor to the first gear (looks kind of like a 1 inch long 1/8" drill bit) had snapped in half, and could no longer turn the gear. After a ton of work, and looking forward to the satisfaction of fixing a thing, it turned out to be a tiny little cheap part that rendered the whole thing un-fixable. I'll be getting a tougher, higher quality shredder in the future because this turned out to be a waste.

Ok but overheats
Handles multiple pages with staples fine but feeding papers over about 5 minutes continuously will result in it shutting down with an overheating warning light. You then have to wait about 30 minutes for it to cool off and work again. Ok for light use.

Question
Anyone know the reason why the shredder does not stop after shredding. It’s on on/auto And it does not stop running, after you shred. Anyone know how to fix this? We’ve this shredder for many years it’s been great and we shredded a lot of paper. UPDATE Something was covering the sensor, has been removed it it’s working again

Stopped working, but still "thrashing"
We use our Royal 805MC shredder for a home office. Heck, we're retired! After a small amount of usage (perhaps 200 pages total over a few months), it no longer works. It's thrashing away, but it simply won't cut any paper, no matter how we try to put a SINGLE page in. And I can't see any way to get into the cutter to see what's the problem.I emphasize -- it SOUNDS like it's working fine. It's NOT jammed -- you can hear the cutter turning. It reverses fine. You can hear the blades clipping the paper, and but nothing gets cut. But it won't cut any paper, no matter how we try to put it in.A more useless paper shredder would be hard to find.
