MEMES
Bought it for the meme. This one is meant for kids which i didn't know so its kinda super small. Its super hard for me to navigate through the keys because I don't have the hands of a 10 year old but yet I still have the height of one. Super great product, lost all of my friends because i never stopped playing it which I was expecting to do. I'm probably going to buy a bigger one in the future, maybe I'll give this one away to a child to a family I hate at some point. I've been practicing the Mii theme music and Despacito for quite sometime now and I notice that its also kinda flimsy so I'm hoping i don't meme too hard and break it in half. other than that its a great buy if your a part time meme and musician.

Like a hamster, only better
I’m not sure what it is, my kids asked for it so I bought it for them. Makes a wahwah sound 🫠 looks cute. If this is what you want you should buy it. And if your kids want it it’s not very loud. It a perfect instrument that’s not too loud! It’s like a having a pet hamster, only better.

It's a toy
I bought the medium one as a gift for a friend. The medium one is alright as a gift, it's just a funny little toy that they can bring places and it's a fun party gadget or something. But it's just a toy. If you wanna actually play music on it, get the big one, because on the medium one, your fingers are always in the way of the notes you wanna play - most of the time you can't really reach the next note, which is usually placed really close to the one you're currently playing, so your finger is kinda blocking it. Good as a toy, not very good for actually playing music.

Surprisingly well made
The otamatone which shipped all the way from Japan was shipped quickly and safely. Upon arrival the quality of the product was unlike what i expected. The feel and build quality is nice with the only, but important complaint I have is the fingerboard, which is how the instrument is actually played. The fingerboard featured a wide range of pitches that are completely precise, unlike other "toy" instruments that are just a couple of buttons hidden behind a cover, allowing for total control of pitch. Due to the fingerboard being constructed this way, it was difficult for me to play the pitches as the fingerboard didn't respond unless I pushed it in a precise manner, not even reacting to my press if my finger wasn't positioned perfectly making performing the instrument more difficult than needed. (Although i am sure that as i practice the otamatone more i will become accustomed to the precision needed to play) Overall I am more than content with this product and would without a doubt recommend this to anyone with a musical background that desires to be a one-of-a-kind performer.

Adorable, but requires a little pushing.
I bought this as a gift for my musician boyfriend, and he pretty much has double my hand dimensions (I'm 5' 3", and he's 6' 3"). At first he complained that it was hard to play the notes, as he had to press pretty hard to make the notes come out. He was also disappointed that you didn't need to move the mouth for it to play the note, but that was a blunder on our part for not knowing. After playing it nonstop for a couple hours, he started playing songs as if he were practicing them for days, as the part that played the notes began to "break in" and his fingers became accustomed to where it needed to be. He and everyone who has seen it says it's absolutely adorable, and now we're just crossing our fingers and hoping that it'll last us more than the month that other people are experiencing breakage.

It's fun to use to anoy others as well as giving myself serotonin.
This thing is fun. It has settings for loud and regular volume. It also has a high pitch setting and a lower pitch setting. It can be used more quiet but if you squeeze the mouth it gets louder. My only issue is not with the product but myself and that is when I forget to put the actual setting to off. If you don't remember to actually turn it off like any normal electronics device then the battery will drain super fast. I usually use rechargeable batteries for this reason. It is sturdy and the face is nade of like a silicon so you can squeeze it.
