I purchased these hose protectors to leave permanently connected to my pressure washer inlet and the garden hose faucet, at the other end. I found that, as I moved the pressure washer around, the garden hose, attached to the pump inlet, was dragged around on the ground. It wasn't always a smooth process and it mostly snagged on all kinds of unforeseen obstacles. I wanted to offer some strain relief to the inlet pump connector and also protect both ends of the garden hose.I looked at some of the other listings and I chose this particular one because the male connector end was made of a heavier brass material and seemed to be of better quality than most others. I've had plenty of male hose ends get squashed by just stepping on them and I wanted something more durable.I wasn't disappointed. The treads on the male end were just like the images on the ad, made of heavier brass and of higher quality. I went ahead and installed them on the pressure washer and hose. It was a great excuse to fire up the pressure washer and try out the new surface cleaner on the sidewalk and driveway. The hose protector worked as expected. The short extension actually made connecting the hose to the pressure washer easier.I gave it a 5-star durability rating based on initial appearance but. I fully expected to be durable enough.I would recommend this product to anyone looking to safeguard their garden hose and extend its life. There are heavier duty, more expensive options but this particular item offers a good balance of price and quality.

I've had several of these on my hoses and hose bibs for two years now. I haven't had any issue with leaks. As others have said, it is a bit tricky to tighten them as much as I'd like but eventually I got it done. The one flaw is the spring material - the spring has been slowly rusting, and although it still functions OK, it will no doubt rust through at some point, although that might be years away. So it's mostly an appearance thing. Perhaps the manufacturer should have used a spring with a zinc coating.

The contractor who built our house did not use the properly sized external faucets on the outside wall. Originally, they were tight. After we resided the house, they became almost unusable. The key can be accessed, but the 3/4" hose fitting was tight. We saw these, and they looked perfect for extending the fitting. We've been using them for over a decade now, and I'm only replacing them due to rust on the springs. Overall, they are a perfect solution to a small problem.

Very useful adapter. I was conflicted a bit in getting this, but now I’m very happy I did. Super useful and perfect for using it with an auto timer to fill up outdoor water bowl for the dogs.

Used these with a solid 90' off of the hose bib. So much easier than mounting the hose to the bib which is too close to the ground.

Terrible! I haven't even had it on my hose a month and it has been leaking terribly! I would NOT recommend this product! Yes, I put the gaskets in it correctly, but it didn't make a difference water is spewing out from the whole connection!
