Bought another one of these just for the sturdiness of this when I charged my phones. Really easy to mount the phone on it without much effort with the charging cord attached.

Got this because I was tired of my phone always lying flat on the desk. This product is very nicely made all-around - the aluminum is surprisingly thick: 0.117 (a little over 9-gauge) for the top and bottom parts, and 0.200 (nearly 4-gauge) for the side arms. The hinges are movable, but stiff to hold their position, and there are nice foam pads contacting the phone and the desk surface. (Note to metric weenies - the dimensions don't map any more cleanly to metric sizes. If you want mm, convert.) Though I haven't tried, of course, I'm pretty sure I could run over this with the car and only produce cosmetic damage. It's that stout.In fact, the top piece might be a bit *too* thick - it prevents the use of a 90-degree Lightning cable when plugged into a phone in a case, so I have to just plug it in and set it in the stand at an odd angle when charging at night. (Thus only 4 stars for versatility. Yeah, I could get another Lightning cable, but I'm cheap, and a cable costs more than the stand, so I'll live with this flaw as long as I have a Lighting phone - Hoping to upgrade to Surface Duo 2 soon anyway...)Overall, this is a good product, though. Recommended.

Love it! Comes in handy for many scenarios. I’ve used it with a phone, iPad Air, and Nintendo switch. Primarily as a desk and travel stand. (Works great on a plane). All devices I’ve placed on it allowed me to use and still fit a charge cord simultaneously. Originally I was nervous the hinges would collapse under the weight but so far that hasn’t been an issue. Likewise, I feared they would become loose overtime so far so good.
