Best for pavement clearing or loose leaf- in grass ok- ok in cooler temps- smaller yard blower
So I tested this with a 5 year old Ego Battery and a new battery that comes with this blower and it makes a difference. In this test I tried it in 49 degree temperature and in 43 degree weather. Obviously the new battery worked better in both tests but it was significant in power and battery life. I will say this smaller 1 battery unit can blow leaves but it will take a long time to clear if you have a large or huge yard. It is lightweight and surprised at just how light it is, it's far more quiet than my gas blower, it does a great job at clearing pavement and driveways and loose leaves. I think the price is a bit on the high side for a 1 battery blower but that's my opinion. I have the 2 pack harness coming to test and will post the results on that item.

Long lasting, good output, no torque on forarm or elbow during use.
Works as advertised. Confortable to use and good output. We have a large wooded property with a long driveway, porches, decks, and trails. The blower output is great, blows large pinecones and needle clusters (Loblolly Pine) as well as leafs from deciduous trees. All these trees drop tons of leafs, needles, and pinecones. It works well to clear the property of their droppings. Its confortable with the backpack design and doesn't put torque on your elbow or forarm like the all in one blowers do; since the engine is in the backpack.

Back-pack blower
Very powerful backpack blower. I recently moved to a house with many trees and discovered how many leaves there are on trees. This blower effectively blows all of the leaves in a pile. The battery is long lasting.

Powerful and comfortable to carry but battery drains fast and charger is slow
I'm comparing performance to a 4 cycle Makita gas blower that has given me powerful and excellent performance in large yard surrounded by forest. The gas blower is much heavier and has no waist belt to transfer weight from shoulders/neck to hips. The EGO is 10 pounds lighter, has about the same power, far easier to carry for long periods, and requires no maintenance. The downside of the EGO is the need for multiple battery recharges and a slow charger. It takes 3-4 charges to do my lawn. I knew it would take more than one but since I have an EGO mower that uses the same battery I planned to put in the second battery...problem solved. BUT It takes 3 - 4 battery charges to blow leaves from the same area that one charge will mow. That was a shock. AND, the charger supplied with the blower is much slower than the one supplied with the mower. By using the mower's charger, I can get a battery about 80% charged before the other one needs a recharge. That is a workable solution but it would be unacceptable (to me) if I didn't have the faster charger from the mower. In my opinion, EGO should be supplying the faster charger with the blower. All said...I'm glad that I bought it.

Lasted 1 week
I bought 3 blowers, and after 1 week 2 of them don't work. I started reading and it seems this blowers have faulty switches very often. Is really disappointing to buy 300 plus tool just for it to brake after 1 week, not 1 year, 1 WEEK of use! This company's are building #@%ppy tools and relying purely on marketing. Go for proveen brands, read the internet thoroughly before buying something like this.

Great blower...
Bought for my wife (at her request). Wanted a battery blower but most are hand held. Finally found this backpack model. I was amazed at how powerful it is. I have a Stihl gas blower and this one is as fast or maybe more so. Don't think you will be disappointed.

Great blower, batteries are terrible
I bought a full set of eGo tools in 2022 (this blower, mower, edger, string trimmer). This blower is quite good. The speed control is nice, the turbo mode is also nice. Being a backpack with a waist and chest strap, lugging it around with a 7.5Ah battery is easy. Minor complaint is that I'd love to be able to rotate the waist attach and arm so that it's on my left side. My wife's left handed and sometimes I just like to switch during a large job due to hand strain. MAJOR gripe: across my 4 tools, I got 4 batteries. 2 5Ah, 2 7.5 Ah. Of those, both 5Ah no longer work, one 7.5 does, but of all my tools, the blower is the highest current and the workign 7.5 Ah only works a few minutes, esp. if I use turbo mode. Said battery works fine in the mower and string trimmer. Of the 4, I contacted eGo about all of them (they're very responsive on FB). They replaced the first 7.5 Ah without issue. The others ... too late for warranty. With a lot of brands of battery power stuff, like DeWalt, I like to get manufacturer's batteries. I've had non-DeWalt batteries die very quickly. In eGo's case, since all 4 of my batteries have died, I can't see a reason to buy eGo batteries. FWIW, the eGo folks I've spoken to say try to keep them between 30 and 75% charge, and don't let them get too cold. I try to do this by monitoring battery state now, and keeping them indoors in the winter.
