Better than screens
We purchased a house that had gutter screens installed. The screens are fine mesh so nothing would ever get through, however it's so fine that it clogs easily. In freezing weather they are pretty useless. Our yard has lots of trees so we always have leaves, helicopters and pine needles on our roof. During all but the lightest of rain, the water just flows over the gutter where we have roof valleys.I purchased the box of 18" sections and cut out about 16" of the gutter screens at all my valleys. I replaced the screens with the gutter brush. So far the brushes have worked great with one exception. Some of the leaves and helicopters (I don't know what else you call them) washed down from the valley to the gutter brush which sticks up a little. When we had heavy rain the water came down the roof valley like a river and hit the leaves/helicopters which acted like a ramp for the rainwater. It shot over the gutter. I'm not sure if pushing the gutter brush down more would help. I'm going to try that and see if it makes a difference. I'm going to get an attachment for my leaf blower that lets me blow out gutters while standing on the ground. I think I'll need to clean them out more often and that will make it easier. If I were building the house new I would get all gutter brush rather than the screens which are much harder to install.

Great Customer Service, Brushes Easy to Install
My screened-in patio has a very narrow rain gutter on one side. A nearby ash tree fills up the gutter with leaves and seeds, especially in the fall, requiring me to regularly clean out clogs. I looked at various gutter guard options, but the DIY options at the hardware store were too large and inflexible and having a company install guards would be expensive. After doing some research, I decided to try these. There was a glitch in my order, and originally I only got one of two boxes, but the company responded quickly and I soon received the rest of my order. The brushes are easy to install. I had already installed the first box and when I went to install the second order, I checked the original brushes and there were no leaves or debris underneath, so they appear to be working well so far.

Perfection
This product is perfect. Ordered 60' and used 57' on three sections of Gutter. The 5" design fits perfectly in the channel. I can't wait for it to rain -- for the ultimate test.

An Affordable Solution to Keeping Leaves Out of Your Gutter
Only one corner of my house has a tree hanging over it, and as such, that's where my guttering gets all the leaves. I really only needed protection in that one corner so I spoke to my local gutter guard salesman and he wasn't interested in doing a partial installation, and even if I cut the full installation price in half, wow! I remembered hearing a home improvement radio show called At Home with Gary Sullivan and he was always touting a product called the GutterBrush, so I gave it a shot. It works great, especially for the money, and was easy to install. My neighbors thought it was pretty cool and I feel certain they'll be being this as well.

Easy installation!
The three photos I've posted are taken from the ladder used to install these GutterBrushes. I have the 5" gutter, so bought their standard size. The first 2 photos show how they fit inside the gutter and retained by slipping them under the cross bars inside the gutter. The 3rd photo shows a little bit of what was leftover, and is sitting on top of the already completed rain gutter. It gives you an idea of the size and how full the bristles are. When we measured our gutters, we "thought" we came up with 54' across the back of our house. So ... I order the 60' package. Talk about some great measuring. This leftover piece is about 10" long. BTW, we would not have "had to" cut that excess off; I could easily have folded it over and tucked it in the corner or double rowed one edge of the 3' section. If I had it to do again, that's what I would have done, and avoided cutting it at all. We haven't had any rain as yet, but I'm sure it will flow just fine off my metal roof and into the gutters without any issues. The primary purpose for buying this particular gutter guard was three-fold: #1 - I had birds building nests at the ends and at a 90 degree junction in my gutters; and #2 - I have a steel roof, and most other types of gutter guards do not easily slip under the eave of a steel roof; and lastly #3 - I was able to do it myself, saving hundreds of dollars by not having to hire professional roofers to come to install gutter guards. So ... #1 - no more birds and their messes; #2 - no damage to steel roof or gutter; #3 - YAY!! Saved money and had the whole 60' done in about 30 minutes. I recommend these gutter guards to anyone with a steel roof.
