Harrisons Adult Lifetime Coarse 5 lb (2 Bag Value Pack)

The two bag value is the way I like to go. The food is the best for my birds and I wouldn’t use or recommend anything else but Harrison’s. The quality of the product is dependable. My birds love it too.

My birds love these pellets, and my veterinarian definitely approves of them. When I first got my cockatoo, he wouldn't eat anything but seed. Little by little, I offered him fresh food and veggies and different brands of pelleted food. Harrison's Adult Lifetime Coarse is the one he chose over the others I tried. My eclectus loves them, too! I'm sticking with them, because they have all the nutrition my parrots need.

I do not know what is different about this (these, as I bought the double bag this time... damn!!) bag of food, but my Grey will not eat it. The pellets lie on the bottom of her cage where she drops them. Normally she loves this food, but these pellets have a different feel, they are harder, stale feeling (although the EX date is 2020) she holds one in her beak for a second, rolls it around and drops it to the bottom. I tried grinding them up a bit, making smaller pieces, but she pushes the whole of it out of her food dish and onto the cage floor. Normally there is minimal food waste in her cage, she is an healthy eater. What a mess and what a waste of money. Has Harrison's changed something about these pellets they did not inform customers about? What gives??

Love the food for my birds, but what is up with these prices? Roudybush and just about every other brand is MUCH cheaper.

For value, I usually purchase a 25 lb bulk bag and store in an air tight container. This time the 2 - 5 lb bag deal was about the same price, pound for pound, so went with the smaller quantity. We have no local vendors so Amazon is my go to online store for Harrisons.
