For 20 bucks, yep
The product was as expected. Looks just like the pictures. It's a good bag for him or her, and for keeping gear light or adding to the pack.Waist/hip belt goes all the way around. Alarmist too far for my small waist, because there is slack when I clip the belt; but when the back is packed it is better. Plus, wearing a jacket or hoody would tighten the waste as well.If you want a hiking bag, get a hiking bag with a frame and huge space. If you want an affordable day pack, get this!I wish the molle system was in both sides, but I knew it wasn't before purchasing.Zippers are stiff, but do not snag.I took this on a long day hike in the rain. I have a rain bag inside, so I don't concern myself with weather much; but it's not gonna keep everything dry.You can get rain covers or dry bags if you're concerned about weather, or get a different bag.For 20 bucks, it's a great size and function for my needs. I have a pouch that I have attached to the bag for longer trips.

Perfect for international adventures =)
I needed a tough, durable, spacious backpack for a trip to Guanacaste, Costa Rica...and after purchasing and returning several, this guy was the clear winner. So far I've taken my nylon buddy to Costa Rica, Mexico, Barbados, and California, and it's still holding up strong as ever. It's soft yet durable, the straps are very comfy, and there's a TON of space inside. No problems with the zippers so far, either. It's solid all around, and I love the olive drab color.I don't care for hauling luggage through airports. I also try to avoid paying bag check fees and cabs' luggage fees, plus nothing ruins a vacation faster than lost luggage. I needed something that would fit into a plane's overhead compartment while holding all my travel necessities. Plus I needed something with fast, easy access to my clear plastic toiletries bag for TSA compliance. This backpack met all those criteria.I also use this guy for camping trips, but it's pretty big, so I wouldn't use it for an all-day hiking trip unless you're going on a SERIOUS trip that requires tons of extra equipment or gear. I use a smaller, lighter backpack for day hikes. I also wouldn't want to haul this pack around for urban vacations--it's too big and bulky for putting under tables, getting in and out of doors, etc.For non-hiking purposes, I pack a smaller, lighter backpack inside this pack. Then I carry that one around once I reach my destination. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ENOUGH SPACE INSIDE THIS PACK SO IT FITS INTO THE OVERHEAD COMPARTMENT ON THE RETURN FLIGHT! ^_^You have to manipulate it a bit to get it into the overhead compartment, but even packed full it'll fit. Tip: don't put anything hard or weirdly shaped in the front pouches. Pack those things in the middle with your clothes. That way you won't have any problem getting it in and out of the overhead compartment. All in all a great item that I'd buy again.

Good deal for a decent bag
Lots of space before and a lot more after you open zippers one of which goes completely around the bag.The straps appear to be well stitched as do the other seams and does have rugged feel of heavy nylon.I carried a lot of weight in it the first use and was soon not worried about it tearing anywhere. One thing to note there is not a lot of padding on the straps so for some carrying a lot of weight for extended times my be a bother however I don't recall having much discomfort.I can't confirm the waterproof part since I have not used in that condition however the compartments are lined by a vinyl material and a flap of nylon goes around the main zipper to keep water from going through. So I would say it should do a pretty decent job of keeping the rain out.All in all it appears to be a fairly well thought out and well made for the price point, really you can't go wrong if you are looking for an inexpensive backpack.

You get what you pay for
Bag is as expected, okay quality, I'm using it as an emergency backpack in my car for natural disasters so it meets my standards for what I'm looking for. However, I noticed it was missing a zipper pull... this may be only $20 but I still expect some sort of quality check!
