Gift for my almost 4 year old grandson. He is fascinated with the concept of a magnet's pull, making weird shapes, and loves the color pink, which he gets from his mom. Something different to play with to stimulate quiet play. Thanks.

I tried this on two toddlers, ages 2 and 4 (package says for 3 and up).Kids this young don't have the motor skills to build the structure depicted, but they liked tinkering with the magnets, making shapes, and continued to play with them on subsequent days, so it held their interest. The pieces are small and especially the ball bearings are a hazard if swallowed or thrown, so supervision is needed for the very young.Drawbacks:Small pieces easy to lose.A very limited set (8 metal balls and 8 magnetic sticks), just enough to build the pyramid structure depicted. You would need additional pieces to build something more ambitious.I received this product free of charge to review.

I was excited to recieve these as I had some as a young child. They have definetly made some improvements. The magnets used to fall out but it appears they added a ridge around them to stop the issue. I also love the panels they include. It definetly helps to keep the constructions stable. The one downside is the lack of pieces. This kit only comes with 22 pieces making it next to useless unless you purchase another. They do sell kits with 44, 68, 104, and 180 pieces which would be preferable. Over all though I would definitely recommend this toy even above Legos. By the way I have recieved this product free of charge.

My 7 year old is having fun playing with this 22-piece construction set as I write this review. I would rather see this set as an extension pack. It is small and the boolet inside shows many more building options. With that being said my child has a really creative mind so, this is actually keeping him busy for a little while. I just asked him what his review of this toy is and he said "Yeah, I like it!" Great toy, just needs more pieces.Sample provided for testing and review.

This is a neat toy for kids. There are not many construction and building sets that have colors that are designed with colors that little girls would love. I do OT in the school system and and was so excited to get these to use with kids. Having boys, most of my therapy toys are their hand-me-downs and are either neutral or dark colors. The girls have been so excited to play with this fun construction toy. It has great visual motor, problem-solving, bilateral hand coordination components and more. The GeoMag has a lot of fun options, kids can create their own unique design or copy designs from a model. This is a small set so if your kids are wanting to build something large you will need to order multiple sets. We have a lot of sets from a different brand that works well with this set.This is a fun magnetic toy that kids will have a lot of fun with. It is a great learning and imaginative play took that inspires natural learning. My 6 year old really enjoys playing with them. Very good quality item but you can't help but feel you don't get a lot for your money. I bought these for my 4 year old as a starter kit to see whether it was worth investing in a larger set had she shown a keen interest in this sort of construction but you can barely build anything with this set, just a few very simple small shapes.She asked me to join in and build something with her, but once she had built her pyramid, there was nothing really left for me to use. I'd invest in a bigger set.
