Great toy for kids, and kids at heart like myself. It isn't super complex, but it's not as simple as you would expect.Gandalf the gray and Frodo are included. This is the only way to get Gandalf as he is exclusive to this particular set. The horse is cool, and and the cart is cool too.The old negative thing about this lego set is the fact the Gandalf can't move his head because of his beard... eh, I'm over it.This is the least expensive Lord of the Rings set and the only way to get Gandalf soooooooo... buy this. buy it now.9/10

When Lego announced that they would sell the Lord of the Rings collection, I became a Gollum looking for his beautiful ring.I decided to buy first the small box, which is Gandal Arrives, and I must to say that every detail of this toy has made me enjoy. Gandalf the Grey came with his cape, beard, rod and hat. The tumbril came with a brown horse, with a beautiful white mark in his front head. The chair in the tumbril, only let one minifigure stay in there. In the tumbril back, you can put the barrel in which you can put the fireworks (2 normal and 1 dragon firework) and a bag with carrot.Frodo, has his hobbit suit, the book (which you can open or close), the envelope (with seal) and two faces(happy and worried in the back and front head).It's beautiful and you can enjoy it.

This set is a great addition to our collection. My six-year-old son loves to play the LOTR Lego Video Game, so this is a nice set to go with it because of the beginning sequence on the game. My OCD son does complain that the horse on this set is brown while the horse on the game is white. In the real movie it is brown, like this set, so it looks as if the game is what is incorrect. (Minor detial, I realize, I am just adding that for anyone who cares!) The accessories in here are great and my son especially loves that the book opens and closes -- he stores the Ring in there for safe keeping. Oh, and my son is quite the experienced Lego builder, but this set was a breeze for him to do despite his age. Overall a great set.

This is a nice set, but it's super expensive for what it is. It took my kid about 15 minutes to put together.

Yes!!!!!!!! I love this set because it has one of my favorite characters. Personally i woulda payed $13 just for gandalf! but you also get shire frodo! This set just brings back alot of the lord of the rings memoreys. If your a fan i would highly reccomend getting it. I also hope Lego makes a $100+ set of the shire. I mean without a doubt i would buy it! even if they made it a 4,000 piece set charging $400 i would buy it! If you think this frodos like the other ones in two other sets, hes not. This frodo has his classic shire clothes and he also has different face expressions than the other frodos. I guess you could say its the cheerful frodo before he gets the ring. I've been eagerly waiting and hoping for the day that LEGO puts out Lord of the Rings sets, and this set doesn't disappoint! I purchased it for my 12-year-old son and he loves to play with it. It comes with what you see in the picture--Gandalf, Frodo, a horse, a cart, fireworks, book, backpack, carrot, etc. The Legos, as always, are well made and provide hours of fun and creative play. Frodo has a happy, carefree face as he does in the movie at this point. My son likes to tell me how great the Lego LOTR horses are "because they can rear," which apparently is really cool. Great addition to the Lego kingdoms!
