Huge improvement
I replaced two 12" fans on a radiator/fan combo I got from Amazon. After a swap from a 350 to a 454, the old fans couldn't keep up with cooling and actually limited cooling capabilities even at highway speeds. After going to two of these 14" fans, the engine is staying much cooler. We hardly get above the 180 degree thermostat now and the fans only kick on after sitting still. The fans are even quieter than the smaller previous fans! Great upgrade that I'm glad I did.

The biggest advantage so far is about 3-4 miles per gallon better gas mileage than with the stock viscous fan
I installed this fan and a Flex-a-lite 31149 controller on a 94 GMC Sonoma with a 4.3 V6 engine. I used the provided push through-the-radiator plastic retainers to install it to the radiator since there was no practical way to use metal brackets to install it. I had only to remove the top fan shroud to have adequate access to install the retainers through the radiator with their nuts and the fan to the radiator. With the 31149 controller I have the fan switch on at about 210 degrees and on when the A/C is on and off when the ignition is off. It is very quiet when it runs and rarely runs except when the A/C is on and after being stopped at traffic lights for several minutes. The biggest advantage so far is about 3-4 miles per gallon better gas mileage than with the stock viscous fan.

This is a great product. I retrofitted it to my brother's mazda truck, and it works better than the OE fan. Clearance was my only issue, make sure you measure twice when doing the installation.

To thick
I had to pull my radiator away from my engine. I had a flexalite one that had the shroud but water got into the hole where the cord goes in and ruined it.

Great fan!
This fan replaces a 12" fan I got from Summit which was rated at over 2000cfm. Although this fan was rated at a lower cfm, it obviously works better as it keeps my radiator cool and the fan actually cycles on and off (my old fan never cycled off once it turned on, meaning it couldn't lower the temp to where the thermostat would shut it off; also in traffic I noticed the temp creeping up whereas with this new fan, it never goes above 1/3.) Great fan, and relatively quiet too.

Keeps My gmc safari cool enough here Az
Keeps My gmc safari cool enough here Az. I have removed the stock metal fan and fan clutch from the engine, so this is my primary(and ony) fan. I tow heavy things, Haul Ass, and run the ac alot. You can tell it works, cause if it it not running for some reason the Ac will overheat the engine when sitting on a warm breezeless day

This fan is awesome
So far so good. Don’t have over hearing issue anymore and it draws less amps than spal so I can simply tied in with stock 1992 civic eg fan harness without blow any stock fuses. Loving it.
