I hate to leave bad reviews but this latch only last 6 month.The latch does not close and lock. So now I am worried someone open the back door and stealing my personal belongings

Love the quietness, easy to install only need to take out 2 srews on bottom panel handles, pop only bottom of plastic back door cover take off 3 screws holding latch slide up one out disconnect plug and install in reverse. About 30 minute or less job.

Update. Part failed with bo warning!!!! Had to drill to get harch open. Angry.Installed on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. The original lock would get stuck once in a while. This fixed the problem. I removed the old one before it locked me out completely. I heard it’s a bear to replace if you are unable to open the rear hatch. The dealer wanted @$250 for the oem part. So far this is working perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. Very disappointed. Faulty part that won’t close. It opens just fine once it’s connected but does not close and latch.

Product i purchased and installed worked for 45 days and stopped working..complete waste of time and money
