Works great on large breed nails!
Just, WOW! I've bought 4 different nail clippers for my dog's nails & nothing worked. Apparently, my Golden Doodle has nails made of steel. These clippers cut his nails like a knife going through butter! His nails are black and one time I did cut them too short. Yep, he bled like crazy & never moved, but the next time I tried to cut his nails he (and I) were very jumpy. With the light feature on these clippers, I knew exactly where to cut his nails, without feeling like I was going to hurt him again. This product is definitely worth the price!

Battery cover & batteries fall out after one clip.
I thought that after a few years of customer feedback that the manufacturer would fix a deal-breaking design flaw: Clip just one nail and the battery cover flies off the clipper, sending the 2 batteries skipping across the floor - Same flaw as when I bought the unit several years ago.For what this thing costs, I shouldn't have to put duct tape across the handle to use it.
