MPX Digital Metal Detector with 10 Inch Searchcoil

No promblems, does what it is suppose to do and I would recommend it to anyone! Finding good spots to dig was hard at first, especially in the South, but that OK, the product is as advertised!

seems to work fine. will have to use it a lot to get the hang of it.

Hi Fellow metal detectors :)I have just recieved this as a early Easter gift,and my hubby had bought it from Kellycodetectors..I just opened it earlier this evening,and my operator manual has BLANK pages! No,I'm not joking! 1st,2nd pages are there~3rd an 4th pages are BLANK WHITE OUT nothing on them,pages 5 an 6 are there,but 7an 8 totally blank WHITEOUT,as is,last 2 following pages.I need to contact Kellycodetectors,and let them know I need another new manual to replace this bad manual.No arm straps either,for mine,nor his! {They are having a "BOGO" sale}so he bought himself thier;MP3 Pro' metal detector for only $124.99.His owner manual is fine,all pages are there~lucky dog :) I have not used this metal detector just yet,as we still have some snow,and tempertures are below 30's still.This is my 1st metal detector per say,we own/share a;White's spectra XLT metal detector.It does a lot,but,in my aging years,it weighs a ton after hour or so,of using it.So,my hubby checked out Kellycodetectors,com ,as it was suggested for great deals,and quality services.I can't say I'm impressed with them so far,being 1st time buying from them.No arm straps,no manual,but he did know I would need 9 volt batteries to run this.He bought me 10 9volt batteries,as it uses 2 at a time.It did come with free accesories,but some are missing.I need to contact Kellycodetectors,and ask when I will recieve them.They were not in my box,when I opened it up.He thought the free accessories would be inside with the metal detctor.UPS delivered it,and it only took a few days to arrive my hubby said.So,after I recieve a good copy of manual,and arm straps,and accessories,and get outside to use this~I'll return with a full review of this metal detector...In the mean time~Good luck hunting :)...................PLEASE TAKE NOTE:I am not a pro'metal detector~~yet...My experience level is still learning/growing :)****UPDATE ON MY REVIEW****Kellyco did mail me a owner manual that was FULLY there,no blank pages~almost 2 weeks later.I took out my:MPX PRO,and I followed directions,and suggestions I had found online over on{...}forum community..I had placed 2 9volt batteries in~turned it on.I looked at my screen to see what it was like.easy to read,icons show up bright-sound is VERY loud~NO KNOB to turn volume down! Some suggestions from other owners of this detector says they used duct tape to cover half the speaker ,or use a sticker to cover it completely to muffle it down,and use headphones.I ran it full settings,which resulted in a musical beeps constantly.So,I then dropped a line for my sens.setting,and raised my discrm.setting to next icon.The constant beeping had lowered to a few beeps.I hear mostly high beeps,only once did I hear a low solid beep.I found under my 1st hit:1975 quarter{clad}-1979 penny{clad}..Few ghost hits..Did adjustment of lowering sens. and raised my discrim.to reject pull tab/nail/caps~I swepted and about 45 minutes later I found my 1st silver of the day/year! It was a low deep solid beep,sound it never made before.In my hole I found:1945 silver walking/standing half dollar :) I can never remember if it is called;walking or standing liberty...It's no whites spectrum xlt ,but it is ok for simple fun,easy to turn on and go.no time wasted ground balancing it.It does have many beep sounds,that I'm still trying to learn.I dig every beep,write a note on what is in plug/hole.I do hate this feature;You turn discrim.down-NO volume at all~zip-nadda'~even with headphones on.So,I am running it 3 lines sens.and I discrim.to pop caps-so I can have volume.I have taken it out about 28 hours and lots of clad~tabs~metal broken junk~growling at ghost hits and 1 silver half dollar.I did place 8 coins in the ground,waiting for a few more weeks to pass,and I'm going back there to see how this will react to them..I would reccommend this MPX PRO for young,old,active,lazy type of people{meaning=great for all types :)} Not reccommend this for serious hard core metal detectors,unless they know how to fine tune it,get it to work at top peak.{If you know of any-give my name to them plz.!heh heh heh heh...

This metal detector says it can do this-and-that and is worth twice as much. I have to disagree! This is a heavy detector, and after one hour I just wanted to put it down. It lacks all fine-tuning selection, other than its own pre-programmed discriminator and sensitivity; which in my opinion suck. The absolute worst feature is the lack of volume control. This thing is freakin' LOUD; and if your headphones don't have their own volume control, prepare for bleeding eardrums! I put a piece of tape over the speaker just to muffle it.The only good feature is the Pinpoint function, which works excellent.Not worth its current price, maybe wait until it is $100 or less!
