By significantly reducing the frame size and thickness of padding, the goggle will now fit much more freely inside restricted spaces. The compact goggle uses the same quality materials as the original models (Mark 49’s), such as solid brass frames and soft leather; this choice of goggle is the perfect choice for classic motorcycle riders. Ultimate comfort-With high quality soft leather hand stitched over comfortable padded foam, the Halcyon goggles mask moulds perfectly to the contours of your face providing the best possible comfort even on the longest of journeys. Anti-Misting – The goggle frames have 4 small louvers punched into the metal with the opening facing away from the direction of travel. This allows just enough airflow behind the lens to prevent misting, but not enough to cause irritation to the eyes when travelling at speed or in cold weather conditions. Unique Features- Over the years Halcyon have introduced some additional features to our Compact Goggle: Redesigned Headband Clips –To allow the goggles to be worn over open face crash helmets while maintaining a close fit to the face. Non-Slip Headband- 3 silicone beads travel around the inside of the elasticated headband to ensure the goggles remain in place against the surface of a motorcycle helmet or when worn over a traditional leather driving helmet or pilot headgear. Authentic hand-stitched British product...
Having bought a retro styled British bike, it was for me a no-brainer to purchase the obligatory open-face helmet and a pair of Halcyon’sclassic Mk49 goggles, bearing the authentic ‘Made in England’ inscription.Problem: I assumed the supplied strap would fit over the helmet, which it did not. Maybe I hadn't read some small print somewhere.Halcyon were pleased to send out a longer replacement strap, pronto.Second problem: Having fitted the longer strap, I still wasn’t convinced that the goggles sat quite right, the padding at the top competing with the helmet padding. Halcyon advised me that the (subtly modified) Mk49 Compact version would likely be a better fit, having been designed specifically for use with most helmets. They kindly offered to send out a replacement, again free of postal charges.Problems resolved.An unreserved 5 stars for a quality product (made under a recognised quality control standard, ISO 9000), and a further 5stars for outstanding customer service. Very pleased.

They look great.
The goggles look great but unfortunately for me. They steam up when I’m parked at lights. It may be just me to be fair to halcyon. I moved away from full face as the visors did the same. Unfortunately, the goggles are harder to wipe clean when they must up. So my fog free mission continues.

Very Good Protection
Good quality googles. I have a small face (55cm) and they were comfortable and fitted perfectly, wearing a half face helmet. The googles have an adjustable nose bridge and would fit any size helmet. I consider these goggles were worth the price and much prefer these to my wrap around glasses.

English craftsmanship at its best. The finest materials woven together to create a perfect and comfortable fit to protect your eyes. To hit a bee at 60mph can be like hitting a low flying turkey. Not with the Halcyon MK49. The original design must have come from someone who understands bikers who like the wind in their face. Try them you won't be disappointed.

Just like 1965!
Tremendous value and quality, go for the leather face mask like I did it is well worth the extra. Completely authentic the normaly just sit on my helmet for appearance but if it gets too dark for shades they work brilliantly too, even better, British made!!

Pleased with the compact goggles
Pleased with the compact goggles, they do fit over my glasses. I wear plastic square frames specs and although there's no spare room, they are fine. Good build quality, would recommend.
