Needs to be plugged in
It’s a great idea and a solution to a normal wireless charging pad not working anymore when you have a pop socket on your phone. There are two important things to know though. 1) it needs to be plugged in. It comes with an ac adapter plug, but it needs to go into an actual outlet and doesn’t use a USB so you can’t plug it into your computer, dock or powerbank. 2) it won’t work if you have any metal on your case or pop socket. I happened to have a metal pop socket so it wouldn’t work - I had to replace with a plastic one to be able to use it.This ultimately solves the wireless charging issue, and it also charges my AirPods if I place the case on this pad, so it works but has some limitations.

if you’re a pop socket lover, this is a MUST HAVE
This is the most genius product ever!!I love my pop sockets, and having to constantly take my case off to wireless charge was really annoying. BUT THEN I found this charger and it changed my life. There’s a concave area in the center that allows you to put your phone on the charger with the pop socket on, and another great thing about that is that it’ll keep your phone from sliding off or moving out of the charging range. I tried a lot of other smart charging pads and that was always an issue.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Make sure you don't have a metal pop socket!
I was really looking forward to wireless charging with my new iPhone, but wanted a Pop Socket on for grip and as a stand. When this product went on sale, I ordered it. I no longer have to fumble with my cables in the dark when I go to bed (my wife goes to sleep earlier than I do). When I unboxed it and plugged it in, I got a flashing red light and it wouldn't charge. I asked my daughter to put her phone in to see if it was broken, and it worked fine. After looking at the instructions, the red light indicated that there was metal interfering with charging. I realized my Pop Socket was actually metal. When I replaced the top of it with a plastic grip, it worked just fine. It gets a little warm while charging, but that's normal for all wireless chargers. I am happy with the purchase.

DISCLAIMER- doesn’t work with ALL Popsockets!
I had a thick plastic Popsocket on my iPhone 12 mini and decided to buy the charger and another Popsocket. They both arrived in the same package, so I switched out the Popsocket, plugged in the charger, set the phone on it, and... NOTHING. Turns out the charger isn’t compatible with the new metal Popsocket I bought OR the old thick plastic Popsocket I was trying to replace (cause too much space between phone and charger). I’m keeping the charger and compromising on the Popsocket.

Too hot and never fully charged
I have an OtterBox case and a standard PopSocket on my iPhone 8. The back of my phone would get really hot after just a few minutes on the charger. If my phone was at less than 40% battery life it'd only charge up to 45% for some reason. Ended up returning. Will stick with my cable chargers.

Literally my most favorite thing
Used with 3 types of Samsung Galaxy models in a variety of otter and slim cases, only using regular plastic sockets or swappable tops. This will only work with the regular sockets- Not metal, not lip gloss, not any other weird ones they've got out. I also use the charging area on the phone to gauge where I place the socket, so it's comfortable and placed in the correct area to use for this charger.I now own 2 of these. I bought the plain white one from here, Amazon, and then I have a design one I purchased directly from the PopSocket site. They no longer offer the designs, which is sad. But the performance is the same. I just set my phone down in the donut hole whenever I am around one, when I shower, and when I'm turning in for the night. Of course for use while needing a charge, I will still use the ports but not using them so often takes most of the wear and tear out of the situation. It's amazing to not knock my phone off my nightstand at night.IT DOES GET HOTNot ridiculously so, but enough to give you pause. It also makes settling noises while you're using it and honestly I was scared to death when I first got it. I wrote their support and expressed concern and first they said i was wither using an offbranded socket (not true) or the wrong type (ie anything other than the normal flat plastic ones). Once i confirmed that i was following the rules, they kind of acted like it was no big deal, no resolution or explanation, and they also removed the review I wrote lol But I've been using the designed one for over a year now, almost 2, and I've gotten used to the temperature and noises. It has not exploded, hurt my phone in anyway, warped literally anything, and still charges perfectly. It is ugly and I made fun of it for so long but I honestly love it so much. It's still ugly though.

Waste of money
It worked great at first.. but now it doesn't stay charging. The light will turn red and blink and it stops charging like the connection isn't sufficient. Very disappointed because I have to take off my case in order to charge my phone. The only reason I bought this was so I didn't have to do that! I already have a wireless charger that worked great but when I put the pop socket on I could no longer use it. And now I can't return it because it's been too long
