AGS SIL-Glyde Compound, 4 oz. Tube (SG-4)

This is my second tube in a lifetime, literally. A litle goes a long wau so it lasts forever. It's useful for a zillion things- totally clear and spreads so evenly it leave no blobs and doesn't mess or splatter. Safely lubricates electrical parts since it is highly 'dielectric' (i..e. it won't cause a short circuit.) This is the original Syl-Glyde they made over 40 year ago (I remember using it in the points of my '68 Cougar)- it was swell to find such a great product still being made exactly as it was. Thanks "American Grease Stick"- whoever the heck you are! If you have a tube of this and a tube of "Lubriplate" multipurpose formula grease in your toolbox, they probably will cover 99% of incidental lubrication needs in your life.

I use this on my Jeep Wrangler freedom top since it was leaking, hasn't leaked since.

Of all the silicone gels I've tried, and I've used a bunch for the pool and in my business, this one lasts the longest. The gels you buy at the pool supply store last about 3 months when applied to the gaskets for the pool filters. But this one lasts about a year or more. I also use it in my medical equipment repair business. I use it in switches, on gaskets, anywhere friction is an issue. Even if it yellows in the tube with age, it still holds up as well. It's a difficult thing for me to say in general about any product nowdays, but I trust this product, Sil-Glyde. Not sure what I'd do without it.

No good when it dried it turned white mess to clean up

I have several CREE LED flashlights with O-rings around the threads on the end cap, and those O-rings would ALWAYS stretch and either break or move out of place when the end cap was removed and replaced. That was UNTIL I applied American Grease Stick SG-4 Sil-Glyde Lube Compound to the O-ring and the threads. The O-rings have not stretched or broken or slid out of place ever since I applied the Sil-Glyde Lube Compound. I had tried other lubricants, like vaseline and grease, but nothing worked until I used the Sil-Glyde Lube Compound. I keep a tube on hand now, and every time I get a threaded item with an O-ring, I apply the Lube Compound the first time I open the item.

This material has been around a long time. I used many other brand name products all of us car mechanics use. But this stuff is it. Others dry up/the heat takes effect on it/ This stuff last under harsh conditions. Im sold..

Just used this stuff for the first time on my Land Cruisers intake tube. Its always been very difficult to remove or even adjust. Applied a thin coat today and now the tube is easily adjusted, easily removed and easily installed. Other reviews indicate this stuff will last a long time. Very happy.

Product arrived on time in a sealed plastic bag, adequate packaging. Used the product to grease the glide pins on my car braking system. Worked brilliantly....will see how it holds up. So far so good

I use this on brake caliper slider pins and the back of brake pads works great, also can be used just about any where and is a clear type grease so easy cleanup.

Like the heading says. It's grease and it works.

This is the stuff!! Doesn't dry out or get gooey like the green stuff you see at your local automotive store. I just checked my brakes after a year, pins and sliders all move freely like I just did them yesterday.. highly recommended.
