I bought this chain to replace a shorter rope chain that kinked up in too many places to be easily reparable. The wheat chain is a looser link style, so it doesn't stay kinked. It also doesn't snag my hair, which is quite a relief! The clasp is easy to open and is secure. I'm allergic to nickel and did not react to this chain. It's very shiny, no oxidized parts, so be sure that's what you want before you order.The chain is true to size and exactly what I was hoping for. Know your measurements when ordering chains for your jewelry; for example, I ordered a 2.6 mm, which is fairly chunky, for a big pendant. I wanted it to sit low, about the middle of my torso, so I went with 24 inches (2 inches longer than my old chain). If you're not sure what you're looking for, find a chart. As long you're ordering correctly, you will be pleased with the quality of this chain. I know I'm harping on that, but I see too many negative reviews all over Amazon from folks who ordered too short, too thick, whatever, and were displeased. Sac Silver is genuine 925 and this style is true to size, so figure out your measurements and enjoy.

What can I say, I needed a thicker type of chain and I began looking through what was available. After a lot of questionable chains in varying size, style, and lengths, I came across this wheat chain, just the size and style I was looking for! It arrived and it is sturdy, very well made, and in great condition. It holds my heavier pendants without a problem, and looks beautiful. It's shiny, but not so much so that you need bling for it. It looks lovely just by itself, too! The price was worth it, and I will definitely buy more from the huge collection this seller has.

I bought this for my wife to replace the flimsy and too short chain one of her pendants came with. Is it real sterling silver? Yes. No part of the chain is attracted to a magnet, except the clasps. A careful white cloth test left a little black mark after a short time. This is typical for any real silver including sterling silver which is 925 parts silver and 75 parts copper which, by the way, is also non magnetic. So much for that. It came in the exact length as indicated on the web site. The 'Wheat Chain' design is far less prone to kink as compared to other designs. This is advantageous, obviously. This also greatly reduces hair getting snagged or caught in the chain, also a great plus.Overall, the chain looks great. It really enhanced the appearance of the sterling silver pendant which she now wears far more frequently. This product is worth every penny of its price. My wife just loves it. Highly recommended.

Terrible, turned black got rash all over my neck after few times of wearing. It is not Sterling silver it was plated with something to look like silver I want my money back how can I contact the seller to get my money back

I've been using this chain on my everyday necklace (wear it 95% of the time) and it's been great for over a year now. Shower, swimming in oceans and pools, sleeping - I haven't had any tarnishing or breakage. Also a plus - it doesn't catch on my long hair, which is a problem I've had with other chains.

I have a charm I want to wear pretty much 24/7. I loved the idea I could have one chain that allowed me to wear said charm with pretty much any neckline I chose. For two weeks this chain fit the bill. Other than my having to untwist it a few times a day it remained quite flattering from T-shirt to scrubs to "fancy" button-down. However, one morning, as I was adjusting it, the chain broke a few links back from the end piece (the small silver ball). I tried to repair it to no avail. I had treated this chain extremely gently, removing all kinks and twists prior to adjusting and pulling in a slow, steady straight line while adjusting.

I purchase things from Amazon on a regular basis, this is my very first review, I felt I had to share this info. This necklace was a joke! It reminded me of a cheap necklace that kids get out of a bubblegum machine. More than anything, this necklace has absolutely zero weight to it, the quality is awful! I realize you get what you pay for, but the price of this necklace (18inches/1.9mm) was comparable to other necklaces listed on Amazon. Although it does have 925 on the clasp, I really question whether its truly sterling silver. I will be sending this back today.

An excellent and reasonably priced sterling chain. This wheat chain fit through the loop of a medallion that I had previously purchased. I got the 24" length in order that I could put it on and take it off without having to fuss with the clasp. It is a light weight chain though and might be more suitable for a woman. That said, I do wear it daily.
