I’ve used several Scotch Porter products, and this Restorative Leave-In Beard Conditioner is, in my opinion, the best one they make. Performance & feel: It does an excellent job softening coarse facial hair without feeling heavy or greasy. The texture is lightweight, spreads easily, and absorbs well, making it easy to use daily. It noticeably reduces dryness and frizz while adding a healthy amount of shine. Control & styling benefit: One unexpected benefit is how well it helps with shape and control. My beard tends to get wavy as it gets longer, and using this consistently helps tame that curl and keeps my beard noticeably straighter and more manageable. I’m not sure if that’s an intended benefit, but it’s been very consistent in my experience. Routine compatibility: This really shines when paired with a good beard oil or beard balm. Used together, it creates a combination that’s hard to beat for softness, hydration, and overall beard appearance—especially for coarse or dry beards. Value: At $10.82 for 4 oz ($2.71/oz), it’s reasonably priced and lasts a while since you don’t need much per use. Bottom line: If you’re only going to try one Scotch Porter product, this should be it. It’s effective, versatile, and works extremely well as part of a proper beard care routine. I've only been using this product for a few days so it's hard to say if I see a significant improvement in my beard texture and growth. What i prefer about the product is that it isn't a beard oil and it's more like a cream that you can smooth into your beard vs beard oil which feels a bit too greasy to the touch when applied to my beard. This leave in conditioner seems to do a better job at detangling my beard vs using beard oil. What i don't like about the product is the smell. The light musk smell isnt my prefernce and I wish the scent was a bit more smokey, dark and masculine like the scent of tobacco, black pepper, or sage. Arguably I think that product would probably be better if it were left unscented. I'll will see if after a year of growing out my beard and using this product will it produce the beard I hope to achieve. My three star rating mean I'm hope for my future of the product vs. researching and switching to a new beard conditioning product. So far so good though.

Keeps my husbands bears looking amazing and manageable. And it smells HEAVENLY!!
