Having used at least 30 different gallons, quarts and numerous Modern Masters Paint, I wish I had purchased thissooner! It gave me almost half a gallon of extra paint when the gallon had about 3 inches left in it. Excellentcompany and product. WELL worth the price. Will always keep these handy!

Bought this and recommended roller to paint a platinum 18' x 20' ceiling. Roller lines were not an issue- streaks were, but they went away after 3 coats (sheer paint needs 3 or more coats to show as solid metallic). Was afraid this project would be a disaster, but it turned out great!

I use this with the Modern Master Pearl Metallic Paint to stencil my dining room wall. I had great results with sharp edges & minimal bleeding on a textured wall.

First, I want to state that I have textured walls, and that’s the reason I gave it two stars instead of one. I live in an apartment, so I’m unable to help that. I’m not sure if this has something to do with the results or not, but either way, this paint extender did not work for me. Despite the fact that I used the proper roller for textured walls, and even multiple coats with plenty of dry time in between, you can still see the roller marks on the walls. The paint itself is very expensive and very thick. Thinning it out with this extender only served to make the paint thinner, and possibly create more of it. It did nothing to prevent the roller marks on the wall, which was the entire reason for my purchase. If you are looking to thin out the paint, then maybe give this a try, but if you’re trying to avoid roller marks, take a look at the pictures, and decide for yourself.

I had a relatively small project, just one wall, and figured I'd throw this in the cart to go with the Modern Masters metallic paint because it was cheap enough and I really didn't want either rapidly drying paint or strong roller marks. I did NOT use the 'Modern Masters' brand roller as the reviews showed little benefit, but I did use a medium to high-grade roller. After adding the proper portion of this to the pan (1/4 bottle for 1/4 gallon) and mixing it all up and rolling it on... I can't say I saw any benefit. The paint dried faster than most 'normal' interior paints... not so fast that you couldn't work with it, but it was within the ~15-20 minute timeline that this extender was EXPLICITLY said to EXTEND. My room was moderate humidity (it was raining outside, so it not dry), about 70 degrees F, no air or fan on, so I do not believe I am biasing the test or short-changing the product.Given that this did NOT extend the dry-time, I see no reason to give it more than 1 star.
