It's got a good bit of weight to it and saves alot of bother. Good quality and no having to use a spade It's the same size as normal garden implements. Bright orange so no need to look through everything to find it. Fabulous functionality that it's handle comes off for storage 😀

Why did you choose this product over others?:60 year old woman here. I managed to drill on my own two 40 cm deep holes in my lawn to install shade sail posts in pure clay and flint. I had to break the flint with a heavy digging bar but the auger worked out for my limited muscle power. Job done! Easy to assemble and arrived quickly and survived the flint fine.

I am very happy with this purchase so far. Strong and does the job and able to tunnel through clay and stones with ease. As reported by others, the screws holding the handles do come loose and need retightening but that is not much of a problem.

Needed to drill out the larger hole for the bolt to go through and grind down the threaded hole a couple of mm forthe center column to fit into the sleeve of the auger. {See photos.)Once done it worked fine in soft soft.
