You can't even pair it if you lose your original one so what's the point? The whole point of buying a replacement is because you don't have the first one but you can't use this one without unpairing the one you lost

this replacement remote works greats and there was no pairing at all needed for me. I have apple tv hd 4k and as soon as I put the battery in, it worked flawlessly. the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it should have volume buttons. every apple tv remote has volume buttons so it seems lazy to make a universal replacement remote for apple tv and not put volume buttons. since I don't have Siri and my apple tv is an older generation, this style remote was the only option for me. otherwise, this remote is great when you need a replacement.

We have cut the cord to our cable and went with a streaming service using AppleTV. Granted we have an older Apple box, but we hated the remote. So cumbersome. After one day we knew the Apple remote would not work. Looked through the choices and ordered this remote. Worked immediately and WOW it is so easy to scroll up and down and across. I'm zipping around the menu on the streaming service. YES! It is small, so I just ordered 2 more in case we misplace it, but this is the way to go. Don't know how sturdy it will be, but I hope it fulfills expectations on that front, too.

I have had to change the battery a few times in a very short time! Also, it does not control the sound. It’s a good thing I have the original remote as it does still work the sound!

I got this product because I lost my original Apple TV Remote, once arrived I try to pair it with my Apple TV, however since the remote brings no set up instructions is hard to do it. I ended buying an original remote after to find out through a Apple support that is the simplest thing to pair the remotes. After paring this remote it works as good as the original, I hope I have called Apple sooner. All you need to do is hit menu and the left arrow for 6 seconds, you should see a remote on the screen and that’s all. I would buy this product again. Recommend 100%

I’ve lost my Apple TV remote more times than I can count. I know my original remote is in my home somewhere but I haven’t been able to find it for weeks. This replacement has been incredible. Functions exactly like the original, no set up issues. Pulled out of the box, placed the battery in, and done. Worked instantly. It’s obviously not as high quality as the original being made of plastic and all, but it gets the job done and now I have a spare remote. Great buy.
