Coconut Dream Enriched Coconut Drink, Original Unsweetened, 32 Oz (Pack of 6)

My husband is lactose intolerant so this makes for a nice dairy substitution. Much better price when buying as a multi-pack, than for what I can get them in any local stores in my area of the country. I should mention however that this product will not work with instant pudding mixes, believe me, we tried and it won't firm up. We use this without other flavorings, just plain, and add it to shakes, cereal, soups and other recipes and have had great success. It has a delicate coconut flavor and is not the same consistency as canned coconut milk with the creamy fats near the surface, so if you're looking for a more dense ingredient for sauces and velvety thai soups you may not like this for that. It's also not a good replacement for half n half in coffee or tea, as it just doesn't have enough thickness to serve as a substitute in that regard. But for general drinking purposes, it's a keeper! We have re ordered this on several occasions.

This is the best plant milk I've ever used. It's creamy,mild tasting,bright white and comes closest to looking and tasting like cow's milk. And it's not as expensive as some other plant milks. I don't like to drink the unsweetened by itself but that's just my preference. I like it on cereals or using it any other way you would use milk. For drinking I would add a sweetener. I am very happy to have found this stuff. I was looking for a good dairy milk substitute and many others were a disappointment.

Good flavour, pretty good ingredients, and functional packaging.

I like coconut milk for the fat content (good fats that is), and this one is low in sugar. I normally don't drink it plain, but mix it with heavy whipping cream and a scoop of protein powder for a "fat milk shake" for breakfast, but it's not bad plain, either. I think if I drank it straight more often I would get used to it (it took me a couple of weeks of goat milk to get used to it - and now prefer it over cow milk). I also use it for cooking, like in scrambled eggs fried in coconut oil as well, and it works great in that regard. I also have a toddler who drinks it in a bottle mixed with goat milk, or sometimes formula, and it fills him up. The local stores around here are iffy on carrying coconut milk, so I'm glad Amazon has this item and I will be ordering more.

All 6 containers were bad. The milk fat and water was separated and not able to shake it or in any way make it usable. Tasted terrible! Dumped them all

When compared with rice milk, soy milk, and almond milk, I personally think this comes the closest to real milk. I have developed a distaste for the vanilla and sweetened milks. This still has a good flavor for drinking straight, even without the added flavor and sugar. The coconut taste is very mild. Plus I like the variety in that it comes from a different food source (I already eat rice and almonds fairly regularly).

This DREAM coconut milk is thick and creamy. I use it in smoothies for low carb, low fat, and deliciousness, and bake banana muffins with it. It’s super good!

I love this brand and I've tried them all. I subscribed because I have a problem finding it locally. The store seems to be out more often than not. Still, my carton of 6 had an expiration date of only 3 weeks! That's not acceptable. For others who might have this happen, you can freeze it and thaw in the refrigerator when ready to use. It didn't seem to degrade. I don't want to have to take up the freezer space and do it every time. I don't know how long it lasts after thawed but I suspect at least a week if it's been frozen immediately upon arrival when you see the short date. The shipping was good, no damage. I will not subscribe with the date problem though. I'll buy local unless I have to. The local product is dated to May of next year and shelf stable so much easier than having to freeze these.
